some news from overnight - a crash shutdown part of i-894 eastbound near 60th street. the crash has just been cleared...and the lanes have just reopened the greenfield fire department tweeted that it involved a plow truck and a vehicle...and that one person was taken to the hospital. no word on that person's condition....or what caused the crash. all lanes are now back open. worked through the night clearing snow and salting... that means parking regulations are strictly enforced to give them plenty of room...and if you don't cooperate your car could be towed. deandra corinthios is live on the east side with more. the dpw called for an overnight snow removal operation.

ticketed or towed...you'll want to read posted signs carefully... the four inch rule means no parking is allowed on the side of the street where the sign is posted until the snow has been removed --day or night--any time of the year. you should also familiarize yourself with the 48 hour exception streets on those streets...sunday night through 6 am today...cars the street. and tonight...through tuesday morning those cars need to move to the even side of the street. dpw officials say this will help them avoid icy roads...allowing them to clear all of the snow before a cold front moves in later this week. some east side residents tell us they've been through this before. " it was my fault i was out of town and when i got back i couldnt find my car and then i got a note from the city saying we have your car" city crews will be clearing bus stops and sidewalks this

the side streets live on the east side dc fox6 news.. in waukesha county, tow truck drivers say the long, steady storm kept them busy. some drivers were working for more than 24 hours since the snow started on saturday. man responded to minor crashes -- like this s-u-v that ran into an electrical box and some trees. 38 cars slid into the ditch as of last night. one crash that resulted in an injury. the winter storm hit much of the midwest. and the snow snarled flights in chicago. more than 13-hundred flights were cancelled yesterday alone at o'hare and midway airports. crews were out overnight there clearing the runways for normal scheduling to resume. most flights this morning are on time...and cancellations are dramatically down. so far -- o'hare has about 60 canceled flights today...and midway only has one. and stay ahead of the weather. remember -- you can check the radar

just download the fox 6 storm center app, it's available on android and apple. an information session on milwaukee's water will be held later today. 70 thousand households in milwaukee are affected by lead laterals. representatives from various city departments will be presenting information tonight...and be answering questions from residents about water pipe issues. it's taking place at the humboldt park pavilion at 6 p-m. this also comes as the common council expects to vote on a proposal to replace vote expected to take place tomorrow. today is the deadline for the wisconsin election recount. green party presidential nominee jill stein lead the effort for the recount. nearly all of the states 72 counties are finished with the recount. wisconsin faces a federal deadline tomorrow to report results for the electoral college. state election officials say more than 2 point 8 million ballots have been recounted.

tracking down a thief. and milwaukee police investigating the sudden deaths of two infants over the weekend. nicole is in the newsroom with the latest on these investigations. autopsies are pending for the two infants. officers found a 3-month-old near 33rd and lloyd saturday morning. and just before midnight on friday -- police found a 5-week-old infant dead in a home near 51st and north. a cause of death has not been released in either case. the cases are separate. an autopsy is pending for a woman listed as critically missing - who was found dead outside a northside home saturday. police found the body of sabrina allen just before noon -- near townsend and hubbard. police reported her missing friday --she

afternoon temperatures falling into the low 20s. right now . when we get more snow next! the world's first non-stop flights between australia and europe are coming. air travellers will be able to fly on qantas without stopping. boeing's 7-87 dreamliner will make the 17-hour journey -- between london and perth. flights usually have to stop in singapore...and dubai in order to make the distance. the flight travels over 9-thousand miles...and is expected to be one of the longest passenger flights in the world. qantas plans to launch the service starting in march of 20-18.
