we start tonight with breaking news-- a teenage girl, shot to death inside her were learning a little bit about who the victim was-- as grieving family members ask for justice. a.j. bayatpour is live near 35th and silver spring with the latest... the police tape is down and relatives are gathering at the home behind us. earlier tonight, they waited in the cold to find out what

she was perfect. she was perfect. shortly after kendra haney learns her sister has been murdered, she tells those around her that 15-year-old melanie johnson loved to read and was a good babysitter. were hurting behind this, like, a lot. were hurting a lot behind this. this really is gonna be tough for us to go through. just pray for us. n us police have no suspect and no motive, adding its too soon to tell if johnson was the intended target. milwaukees most recent homicide happened shortly before six oclock. put the guns down. put the guns down. its too many kids losing their lives behind nonsense violence. relatives say johnson died at her moms house. police say the shooter fired into the building from outside. both investigators, and a grieving big sister, want to know who pulled the trigger. i just want them to find out who did this and give

just a block away from where a grinch swiped holiday mail out of a mail truck. "49:36 its just terrible its just terrible 39" saturday, milwaukee police say a witness saw someone steal items from a postal vehicle here near griffin and euclid. the suspect took off-- and the mailman came back to an empty truck. "57:14 somebody had wiped out the whole back of his truck 16" patti madden's mother lives next to where it hae "56:59 the postman came to her door and asked if she had seen anything because somebody had robbed his mail truck 57:06" the day before on north milwaukee street, milwaukee police say an amazon delivery driver was robbed of her keys. three suspects then hopped in her amazon delivery van and took off. inside--we're told--75 packages. "52:43 anybody whos so emboldened to go into a vehicle like that, i dont know what they would stop at 52:50" guerrero still spreading holiday cheer....hoping the grinch gets caught. vehicle like that, i dont know what they would stop at 52:50"

cheer....hoping the grinch gets caught. we are waiting to hear back from the us postal inspection service about the theft of mail. milwaukee police say the amazon delivery truck was recovered. they are still searching for the suspects. in milwaukee, brittany shannon fox 6 news. ted thanks brittany the two women charged in connection to the death of a seven- year-old boy plead not guilty. 44-year-old etter hughes and 47-year old mary martinez are charged with neglecting a child an their care when he was taken to the hospital late last month. investigators say the boy was badly bruised and malnourished when he died. the man accused of drowning his infant son reached a plea deal today. 25-year-old sean flowers' trial was supposed to start today-- instead he plead guilty to first-degree reckless homicide. police say he waded into a pond holding the 3-month-old-- and when a witness tried to save him flowers swam into even deeper water.

the two girls accused of trying to kill a classmate will be tried separately. prosecutors say annisa weier and morgan geyser were trying to please the fictional character slenderman. today geyser's attorneys argued her confession should be thrown out. since the crime she has been diagnosed with early onset schizophrenia a now retired sheriff's lieutenant testified how geyser confessed. he says he read geyser her miranda rights and she waived them. i asked her where the blood came from. she told me she was forced to stah to death. a judge will make a decision on the fate of the confession at a later date. a milwaukee woman has a warning for others after she says a man tried to sexually assault her in a locker room. stephanie grady joins us in studio tonight with the details. the alleged incident occurred at the y-m- c-a branch at 14th and north back in october.

man came into the women's locker room, forced her into a shower and tried to sexually assault her. fortunately another woman and a child walked in and spooked the man. he ran away. milwaukee police confirm they are investigating-- but no arrests have been made. that's why the victim says she wanted to share her story. so other members of "the y" can be on alert. that is the ultimate reason why i wanted to come forward. because there are a lot of children who attend this ymca. tells fox 6 "the y" has fully cooperated with police-- and turned over the names of people who checked in on october 15th. tonight-- the interim ceo of the milwaukee ymca reached out to provide more detail. jack takerian tells fox6, 'the video the ymca turned over to the milwaukee police department on the day of the alleged incident, we are not seeing any such incident occur or a male enter a

trying to identify the three men accused of beating a bartender over the weekend. police say these men were at schooner pub early saturday morning. we're told the bartender was attacked when trying to stop the men from hassling a female customer. if you can identify them-- give officers a call. wisconsin's recount is over -- and president-elect donald trump actually added to his lead-- gaining 131 votes. the elections commission certified the results a day ahead of the federal congress will recognize wisconsins 10 electoral votes. green party candidate jill stein requested the recount after concerns were raised that the state's voting machines may have been hacked. the commission says it found no such evidence. "the commissions job was to see if they hacked our system and they did not hack our system." we don't yet know the actual cost of the recount, but stein must pay the

he says theres only one way to find the set thats right for you. "lotta research." experts at consumer reports have done their research and expect to see major tv brands like samsung, lg, and sony as part of some holiday deals. in the past, those deals have mostly included only budget brands like tcl, hisense and westinghouse. "some of the lesser brands have been really aggressive both in the 1080p and 4k markets. what thats done is put a lot of pricing pressure on the major brands." that means your for example, for 500 dollars, you should be able to get a 40-inch 4k ultra hd tv from a top-performing brand, something that would have cost you nearly twice as much just a few years ago. "as the tv industry matures, as new features come into the marketplace, at first theyre expensive. then they become less expensive as they, you know, get rolled out into mainstream models." thats why for 750 dollars you should be able to buy a higher tier 50-inch 4k ultra hd set from a major brand, which consistently do better in

brands. spend a little more and youll likely get a larger screen and more of the latest features including better video processing and hdr or high dynamic range which can yield better contrast and more realistic looking images. because most people keep their tvs for 7- 10 years, consumer reports says its worth it to spend that extra hundred or hundred and fifty dollars if it means getting a higher-quality tv. i'm jenna sachs contat partnering with "shielded hearts" to help kids in need this holiday season. shielded hearts is a non-profit organization for police officers' wives and girlfriends. today chief ed flynn joined them for a special news conference. they're "rounding up" new toys, books and stuffed animals for the child advocacy center-- which helps abused and neglected kids in milwaukee county. "it is something that provides comfort for them at a time where life is very challenging
