a fatal crash in kenosha county shut down several lanes of i-94 for a couple of hours. it happened near the highway 142 exit. we're told that a woman died after she hit the median...and was then hit by another car going southbound. three people in the other car were injured...and are expected to be ok. it's unclear what caused the crash. all lanes have since reopened. and new details on a fire in cudahy last night. officials say they respon condominium on creekside drive. everyone was able to get out ok...and no one was injured. multiple fire departments were called in to help fight the blaze. authorities say the fire does not appear suspicious at this time....but continue to investigate. a teenage girl is shot to death on milwaukee's north side. investigators are trying to figure out if she was the intended target...as the family mourns the loss. deandra corinthios is live near the scene at 35th and silver spring with the latest 15 year old melanie johnson was inside her mother's home...when

into the building from outside. this was the scene shortly afetr 6 p-m monday night. anxious relatives gathered near the scene at 35th and silver spring. police say it is unclear if johnson was the intended target. johnsons sister tells us her younger sibling didn't have any enemies. she says johnson was quote "perfect"...she liked to read and enjoyed being a babysitter. she says she had just seen her sister that call with the awful news. will be making a stop in wisconsin today. this comes as he is ready to make another big announcement about his cabinet. nicole joins us now with the details. president-elect donald trump will be making a stop in west allis this evening. he's holding a thank you rally at the state fair expo center at 7:00. mr. trump and vice president-elect mike pence will both be there. governor scott walker and house speaker paul ryan will also be attending. doors open at 4 pm. is expected to announce his choice for secretary of state today. sources say he will be tapping exxon mobil c-e-o rex tillerson. but this could lead to a potential fight with congress. he has no foreign policy experience...but does have close connections with many world leaders. some are concerned about tillerson's connections with russian president vladimir putin. tillerson has worked for exxon mobil for 40 years. through the end of 20-15..he made more than 240 million

comes as the wisconsin recount officially ends. and mr. trump actually added to his lead in the state...gaining 131 votes. the elections commission certified the results yesterday -- a day ahead of the federal deadline. this guarantees that congress will recognize wisconsins 10 electoral votes. green party candidate jill stein requested the recount after concerns were raised that the state's voting machines may have been hacked. the commission says it found no such evidence. we don't yet know the actual cost of the reco the bill. in the day ahead... the common council set to vote on a proposal today to replace lead pipes with copper... the city... looking to cover two thirds of the cost... while offering financial assistance to property owners for the rest of the bill. the payments would be incremental. 70 thousand households in milwaukee are affected by lead laterals. the common council and mayor tom barrett are lowering the cost of a snow plow equipment license to only 10 dollars starting today. that's down from 50 dollars. the goal is to provide more

bomb threat. and over the past six days...six officers have been shot in georgia....two of them died. nicole is in the newsroom with the latest on these stories across america. officials say the shootings are all unrelated incidents. last wednesdasy - americus police officer nicholas smarr responded to a 9-1-1 call about a domestic dispute. his best friend - jody smith - also responded. smarr was shot and killed at the scene. smith later died from his injuries. the suspect took his own life. then yestserday -- two more police officers from byron were shot during a drug operation. they were part of a task force serving a search warrant. the officers were shot as they entered the home, but were able to fire back and kill the suspect. both officers are expected to recover. and then last night -- two officers from lavonia, georgia
