johnsons sister tells us her younger sibling didn't have any enemies. she says johnson was quote "perfect"...she liked to read and enjoyed being a babysitter. she says she had just seen her sister that afternoon...then she got a phone call with the awful news. "im sorry for my mom im sorry for other siblings im sorry i just i just really i just really need to know who did this what is going on what is happening" relatives say johnson was in the kitchen when she was shot. mpd is searching for suspects. at 35th and silver spring dc fox6 news. police are investigating a shooting on milwaukee's north side. they say a 48-year-old man was shot in his right shoulder. it happened about 12:30 near 4th and center. police say several people were fighting over an ongoing issue - when one of the people pulled out a gun and shot the man. he is expected to survive. no arrests have been made... but police have several leads. milwaukee police are identifying the victim in a homicide near

president-elect donald trump will be making a stop in west allis this evening. he's holding a thank you rally at the state fair expo center at 7:00. mr. trump and vice president-elect mike pence will both be there. governor scott walker and house speaker paul ryan will also be attending. doors open at 4 pm. ending weeks of speculation, the president-elect finally making his pick official for secretary of state. but, mr. trump's choice nation's top diplomat does not come without its fair share of controversy. fox's joel waldman has the latest from washington. it was a political point of intrigue - who would be the next secretary of state? president-elect donald trump, today, ending the weeks-long guessing game, with a simple tweet. priebus says: "at the end, it was rex tillerson, sort of for the business, but also the vision. and also the fact that rex tillerson has maintained these

trump postponed a news conference, from this week to next month, to discuss those plans for his business. his last official news conference was 139 days ago. in washington, joel waldman, fox news." the president-elect's visit also comes as the wisconsin recount officially ends. and mr. trump actually added to his lead in the state...gaining 131 votes. the elections commission certified the results yesterday -- a day ahead of the federal deadline. this guarantees that congress will re electoral votes. green party candidate jill stein requested the recount after concerns were raised that the state's voting machines may have been hacked. the commission says it found no such evidence. we don't yet know the actual cost of the recount, but stein must pay the bill. the common council is set to vote on a proposal today to replace lead pipes with copper. the city is looking to cover two thirds of the cost... while offering financial assistance to property

police officer is injured -- after a shooting in nashville. the suspect had barricaded himself inside a nearby motel. police say the officer was shot in the shoulder... he is now in the hospital. in georgia, six officers have been shot in the past six days....two of them died. officials say the shootings are all -r last wednesday - americus police officer nicholas smarr responded to a 9-1-1 call about a domestic dispute. his best friend - georgia southwestern university officer jody smith - also responded. smarr was shot and killed at the scene. smith later died from his injuries. the suspect took his own life. then yesterday -- two more police officers from byron were shot during a drug operation. they were part of a task force serving a search warrant. the officers were shot as they

to fire back and kill the suspect. both officers are expected to recover. and then last night -- two officers from lavonia, georgia were shot during a traffic stop. the officers had pulled over a driver. they learned the car was stolen and when they tried to arrest the suspect, he took out a weapon and fired at the officers before taking off. the suspect was eventually taken into custody and now faces multiple charges. the officers are expected to be okay. make an emergency landing at j-f-k international. officials say the flight was en route from houston, texas to germany... when the bomb threat was made to luf-thansa's corporate office. after learning of the threat, the pilot opted to land the plane at new york's john f. kennedy airport. more than 500 passengers were evacuated and shuttled to the terminal. port authority police say the plane was searched by a k-9 team. all luggage and cargo was

situation in aleppo has gone from bad to worse. the u.n. is reporting random executions, and mass killings of civilians trapped in a few small pockets of eastern aleppo-- unable to escape. fox's conor powell has more from jerusalem. the syrian military is advancing on the final pocket of resistance in aleppo... battering rebels and civilians trapped in severa unable to escape the fighting. the u-n says the situation is disastrous - with reports of torture, random killings and mass bombardment of civilians - including more than 100 children trapped in a collapsing building. colville says: "very concerned about the reports of individual killings, very concerned about what is happening to those people who have managed to get out." the international community directing its outrage at russia.... which refuses to negotiate for a ceasefire allowing the remaining rebels and civilians to evacuate

occurred at the y-m- c-a branch at 14th and north back in october. the 27-year-old victim says a man came into the women's locker room-- forced her into a shower-- and tried to sexually assault her. fortunately, another woman and a child walked in and spooked the man. he ran away. milwaukee police confirm they are investigating-- but no arrests have been made. that's why the victim says she wanted to share her story-- so other members of the "y" can be on alert. that is the ultimate reason why i wa because there are a lot of children who attend this ymca. the y-m-c-a's operations executive tells fox 6 the "y" has fully cooperated with police-- and turned over the names of people who checked in on october 15th. the interim ceo of the milwaukee ymca reached out to fox 6 to provide more details. he states, 'the video the ymca turned over to the milwaukee police department on the day of the alleged incident-- we are not

female locker room.' the milwaukee county medical examiner's office is investigating a possible snow-related death. a 55-year-old man was shoveling near 23rd and keefe when he collapsed. he was taken to the hospital-- but later died. milwaukee police are looking for the person who held up a post office. it happened a little after 3 yesterday afternoon at the location near 35th it happened a little after 3 yesterday afternoon at the and capitol. we're told the suspect showed a gun and got away with cash. that's not the only mail-related crime. someone stole a truck's worth of mail. and in another case-- an entire amazon delivery truck disappeared! fox 6's brittany shannon-- with the rash of bold holiday thefts. mike guerrero's festive home is just a block away from where a grinch swiped holiday mail out of a mail truck. witness saw someone steal items from a postal vehicle here near griffin and euclid. the suspect took off-- and the mailman came back to an empty truck. "57:14 somebody had wiped out the whole back of his truck 16" patti madden's mother lives next to where it happened. "56:59 the postman came to her door and asked if she had seen anything because somebody had robbed his mail truck 57:06" the day before street, milwaukee police say an amazon delivery driver was robbed of her keys. three suspects then hopped in her amazon delivery van and took off. inside--we're told--75 packages. thanks to new technology -- doctors in grafton are monitoring patients ea counties! its all happening in real-time. fox6s deandra corinthios explains what this means for patient care -- and the hospitals. an irregularity in a patients heart beat sounds the alarm... techs at the aurora medical center in grafton...see it in real time. "even when the patient doesnt have a nurse in front of them talking to them" the techs connect with nurses and doctors in a matter of seconds.
