is out in it-- 14:19 it was miserable. especially--if that is one of your only options. 14:21 i didnt have anywhere to go, just walking around. brian brown knows the pain of the bone chilling cold. he used to be homeless. brown eventually found help at repairers of the breach. he's now a cook here and helps others in need. 16:57 when they come here i make them feel warm welcomed and loved. he's now working double. the daytime shelter has extended it's 06:26 we greet them, offer them a hot shower, a hot cup of coffee, a hot meal, a sleeping bag, a pillow and a place to sit. they get ready for a busy night-- putting out food, scarves and hats. on monday night--12 people passed through, tuesday afternoon more than 100. eleven shelters are open in milwaukee county-- additional warming centers are expected to open in the coming days. 47:36 this time of year, theres always a spike in demand.

21-year-old joshua bagemehl bag-uh-meal was arrested just hours after buying an assault riffle on monday.on sunday-- authorities say the suspect posted on facebook quote "someone needs to do a school shooting around here. it would be funny as expletive ."two days later he posted videos of his newly purchased gun. someone turned in his posts anonymously to crime stoppers. officials say bagemehl bag-uh-meal told authorities he enjoys watching violent videos, and doing so makes the urge to shoot people go away.he says the posts were done, to get "a reaction." particularly bothered me, was his alleged comment that he like videos where he could hear the women screaming that says to me ok, were dealing with someone with severe mental health problems, but can also be extremely dangerous. bail was set for 75-thousand dollars. he's due back in court

connecticut will hold a moment of silence to remember to lives lost during the sandy hook shooting. today marks four years since 20-year- old adam lanza killed 20 children and 6 educators at the school. classes are scheduled at the school, and students will hear from different speakers. a moment of silence is planned for 9-30 this morning ....and a counceling center will be open for extended hours. in sheboygan county -- the sheriff's office is trying to find a missing college 18-year-old kaelin o'neal was last seen on the lakeland university campus on sunday. he was wearing a black button jacket. if you've seen him-- give authorities a call. new this morning... police in waukesha-- searching for the woman suspected of robbing a bank. dgx take a look if you recognize her. police say she went into the waukesha state bank around 5 last night. she demanded money from the teller with a note. no weapons were implied or shown. the suspect took some money and ran off.

edmonds has been acquired by a missouri shoe company. that's according to our partners at the milwaukee business journal. "caleres incorporated" made the deal for 255-million dollars -- saying the acquisition would grow its footwear business.allen edmonds has been making shoes since 19-22, when it opened its first factory in wisconsin. the city of milwauk ahead to tackle a big problem in the city. a multi-million dollar plan will require tens of thousands of homes to have their lead laterals replaced. under the plan a homeowner would pay up to 16 hundred dollars, or no more than a third of the cost of replacing the section of pipe under their property. the city would pay the rest. we understand there are going to be families who can't afford this right now. at the same time there are absentee landlords who would not be doing this if we did not

has thrown out a 20-14 law requiring doctors at abortion clinics to be affiliated with nearby hospitals. the court ruled it created an undue burden on a woman's access to abortion, and violates both the u-s and oklahoma's constitution. but the state will soon require "anti- abortion" signs in all public restrooms. the signs will direct pregnant women to seek state services. in ohio-- governor john kasich signs an abortion bill into law. kasich signed a 20-week abortion ban. at th an abortion bill known as the "heartbeat bill". that proposed measure would have barred an abortion at the first detectable fetal heartbeat... which could come as early 6-six weeks into a pregnancy. legislators could override that veto. kasich is pro-life and the 20-week ban is similar to laws in 15-other states. the landmark "21st century cures" bill..giving more than six billion dollars to medical research, is now law.
