country whined that what you were doing was bad for golf's credibility. that if a 59-year-old man could be the best in a sport for a week, it didn't say much for the sport. i say just the opposite. you weren't some fat guy in a tournament. you're a 59-year-old man in great shape, driving 296 yards and going back home with a killer wife. 59's the new 39, right? do you have any idea how many seniors would get off the couch, get their clubs out of the attic and take the game up again? one of the reasons we love golf is that you can play it for a lifetime and play it well. thank you for reminding us that a codger can play with a kid and hold his own. yes, your face has grown some wrinkles and your hands some shake, but your heart and your
