this country in this era, which is the post 9/11 era of terror. there are real threats and imagined threats. we are going to try to shed some light on what has become a very heated debate. people are passionate on both sides. we want to see if there is a difference in the way americans look at muslims in general. there are 1.5 billion muslims around the world, including many millions of muslims here in the united states. what we want to do is see if we can get to some kind of resolution on that. it will not be easy. people have extremely he did views on this. some things are very important. the only survey done on the muslims in america was done

three years ago. research found that a vast majority of muslims in this country consider themselves assimilated, american in their values, outlets, and out -- and ideals. they also have a very robust economic debate. they are in the professional cast and doing quite well. all the other hand, polls have shown that many americans are conflicted. half of americans polled say they have an unfavorable view of muslims. the other half say that islam is a peaceful religion. more than half say they do not know enough about muslim -- about islam. they do not know enough about the fate itself. we decided to take a look. we'll have a special program the sunday morning. after that, we will have a life facebook debate.
