a respected political report just listed 12 incumbent house members most likely to lose. and democrats see a wave of republican money which they blame on a supreme court ruling ending restrictions on campaign spending by corporations. >> money overall is tilted in republicans' favor. >> reporter: now a blistering democratic ad accusing republicans of hiding contributions. >> they won't release any information about where they're campaign mon is coming from. and that's at the core of the problem here. >> this say desperate political ploy from the white house to distract attention from the failed economic policies. >> reporter: president on a cross sprint for the election just 22 days away. and the spread going to talk to some of the nation's mayors and governors. the plan is as touted as something that will help put the

the next leader of north korea has made his public debut at the largest military parade in that country's history. kim jong-un is the son of kim jong-il. >> reporter: rigid and well rehearsed north korea's formidable parade. i have been to this square many tiles, but i've never been able to get this close to the troops. they've got the navy, airport, infantry, artillery, doctors and nurses. high above the square, the dear leader, a frail-looking kim jong-il, and a few feet away, his song, kim jong-un, now

unquestionable the leader. what they did do which is new to us, they put the general between the two of them first saluted to kim jong-il and then saluted his son. until recently kim jong-un was an obscurity. he believe to be 27 years old, the youngest the sons. his two older brothers passed over. >> he's most like him in terms of personality, temperament and everything else. just based on that, we're not looking at a different leader, we're looking at sort of a mini-me. >> reporter: he is said to be a fan of american basketball. last year, he began the military career at the lofty rank of now-star general.

now, he's poised to take the helm of a reclusive rogue state armed with nuclear weapons. bob woodruff, abc news. over the weekend the wife of chinese dissident liu xiaobo joined limited to tell him had he won the nobel peace prize. in 1989, liu xiaobo was a professor who took place in protests. he's been in prison ever since. the stepmother of a missing girl is now believed to be a person of interest in the missing girl's case. at first, investigators considered it a case of stranger abduction, but then they found inconsistencies in the stepmother's story. sea world orlando is celebrating their newest

inflation has not been high enough to trigger a cost of living increase. overseas stocks are higher today. tokyo's nikkei exchange is closed but hong kong's hang seng is higher in late trading. in london the ftse opened higher. and wall street, of course, is closed today for the columbus day holiday. last week, the dow gained 176 points. if you drive, you probably noticed that gas prices are going up. aaa says agasoline is up 20 cents per gallon. >> microsoft is set to unveil the new windows phone 7 today. it has a touch screen and an entirely new operating system. it's also expected to be an xbox game form and the phone is expected in the u.s. and around the world in the next few weeks.

his wife reported the attack. at first, the authorities doubted the wife's claims since nobody or jet ski has been found. now, the mexican gofrt has launched a federal investigation into the incident. the number of potentially dangerous mistakes by air traffic controllers has soared over the last year.
