in the 3600 block of 16th street. a passer-by noticed the flames and called 911. they extinguished the blaze and found a body of the man on the first floor. >> the victim was found inside in the fire which is part of the investigation process. we will not release information exactly where they were found as well as age. >> cause of death? >> still undetermined at this time. >> they have determined it was a man who was the victim. five other family victims -- family members managed to escape. this is the other big story -- the traffic. as you can see, there are trucks, fire trucks, water trucks blocking 16th street completely. it is shut down in both directions in the height of rush are between newton street and arkansas avenue. we do not know how long this will be shut down, but it will still be some time. you are urged to find an

alternate route. 16th street between newton and arkansas avenue here in the columbia heights is shut down in both directions. you are asked to find an alternative route for the next hour or so. live in northwest washington, greta kreuz. a weekend rate in aspen hill has police investigating whether they have a serial rapist on the loose in the montgomery county. here is a composite sketch of the man believed to have raped a 52-year-old woman. this happened on georgia avenue and is the third reported in aspen hill in the last five months. police are investigating if whether the same man is responsible for the same three. the description of the man is similar. all of the rapes occurred in places like this one on georgia avenue, very busy roads with sidewalks next to a hundred. . the police cannot confirm a link, but they want women to know that danger exists.
