-- president obama announced this friday that virtually all american troops will be leaving iraq at the end of the year. thank you for joining us. there were lots of topics this week. let's start with iraq. the president announced troops withdrawn from iraq. we know there will be some presence of contract workers and advisers and what not. but what is the significance of this announcement? >> it is important politically. this war has been unpopular. it will be a feather in president obama is cap that he was able to appear as if he is living up to the campaign promise he made in 2008, to have all trips gone by the end of 2011. it also has political implications for republicans who will use it to criticize him and suggest that he is perilously withdrawing from the gains that we made in iraq for the last eight years to nine years.

that is potentially an opening for them, but they do not have a whole lot and they have fewer openings in for a policy. >> iraq is more of a success story, but neither side wins on this one. the occupy wall street movement gives growing and growing. we see it sweeping the world. is it having a residence here at home? what are people saying in polls? >> it has some potential to shake up washington politics. you have seen the democrats recognize that and give a cautious embrace to it. they do not want to get too close to it because there is the potential that either the rhetoric could become incendiary, there could be violence threats of violence or vandalism it is like what happened with the republicans and the tea party where they recognize that there's a lot of energy behind these sentiments, these anti-establishment/anti-
