elusive killer. the so-called potomac for rapist has even more victims than first thought. it is the latest twist in the intense manhunt for the man detectives say is responsible for crimes spanning two decades. >> we have the latest on the effort to find this criminal. >> they may have stopped for a while. >> this is the man who has created a buzz once again around the palisades neighborhood of the seed no one knows his real name but please call him the bird -- the potomac river rapist. police went door-to-door talking to neighbors, trying to jog their memories about a crime he committed 16 years ago. >> he is connected to this area. we're hoping that by saturating this area releasing this composite that somebody will remember him from back in 1996. >> in july a man grabbed a woman walking here and dragged her

into the woods and raped her. and now using dna evidence from the case, police have linked this crime to six other rapes and the rape and murder of christine merzan. >> no matter how sick you think you are, no matter how good you think things are, you have to have a certain amount of awareness. >> longtime residents remember that right off the path in palisades. she remembers seeing a suspicious man there in 1996. >> i walked down and he came up out of the woods. >> residents are reminded of what happened here in the late 1990's. in hopes of what they remember well lead to an arrest. >> maybe there is some linkage and they will find the person who did it. >> the rapist has not committed a crime since 1998. at least not that they know of. they do not know why and they do not know where he has been since then. they're hoping this

with that easterly wind. archer's our little bit below average. the high-temperature made it up even with these clouds into the low 80's and the like those early morning sun rises? this is the earliest sunrise we have of the year for the past few days. in one or two more days, 5:42 a.m. here is the temperature. not too bad. dallas at 94. that is okay for the middle of june. here is where the heat and the drought. bill passed so at 100. you can see how much of the country is unusual so far as it is covered by this dry air and this will be the weather maker as we go through the next 24 hours trading can see that general pattern in the atmosphere. there is the dry air and that will be with us into a good part of the weekend.

overnight tonight and during the day tomorrow, we will see some clouds. the general area of high pressure moves off, pretty light winds in niagara falls. on the weekend and next weekend -- next week, a little bit more swarmer and humid air comes in. not until we get well into next week. if you're heading out for the beaches a pretty good beach weekend. the one thing you have to watch out for that wind. the gatt ocean city. the temperature, 62. because of that persistent wind. some of the current could be a bit strong and there could be some of those rip currents. watch out heading out into the surf. water temperatures are into the 70's. but that easterly wind, heading out to the beaches for the weekend, air temperatures will be in the lower 70's. four-cylinder, it will be light winds around the bay. look at the water temperature of annapolis.

par. bob watson and phil mickelson were a mess. he bogeyed the first three holes. the nations were off and they opened a series against the yankees down at the ballpark. at camden yards the orioles and the pirates tonight. taking this pitch to left field and everyone is running. scoring easily. davis comes around, he scores. it went 4-5. mark reynolds went four for five. a big night for the orioles. the game you saw here, miami built an 18-2 lead. the star -- to start game 2 and hold -- had to hold onto it. 59 combined. lebron james led the scorers with 32. this was the best we have seen
