until 10:00 this morning. the stronger the winds are and the lower your wind chill factor is. you can see the map and we had a warning about a few spots. this is in effect until 10:00. george, not, king included here. the temperatures are holding above the zero mark. you can see that wind drawing in the cold air. will hold our temperatures up. when we do not have the wind, it is 19 in d.c.. it is not the coldest that we have seen this season. it does feel cold. it is mostly cloudy and breezy through 9:00. to make it upng to 20 degrees and flatten out in the afternoon.

it is not going to be the longest cold blast and we have that to look forward to. at this point this morning, it is 19 degrees. the windchill factor is down into the single digits. it will mix up our atmosphere on little bit. we look at the other temperatures across the region. it is nine degrees in martinsburg. culpepper is at 19. it is six in gaithersburg. the temperature that your body is feeling this morning is around the range of -10 and positive five. it will stay that way for the next four or five hours. it will stay through the weekend and into the morning. that is the good news. look at how far the cold has advanced, all the way down to the coast. look at atlanta.

26 degrees. the gulf coast states are looking at wintry weather. they are getting snow this morning. this will go east to alabama and make its way to atlanta and the carolinas. believe it or not, it could go our way tonight. i think the metro area will be fine. it is southern maryland that we are concerned about. you can see the high-pressure and the cold air. there is warmer air and moisture here. areas that do not normally see them -- if you have travel plans, thousands of flights have been canceled at the busiest airport. advisoriesof the across the midwest and atlantic states. our forecast in detail.
