overnight hours and the lightning is all done as well. look at the storm reports. all those little blue dots indicate where the national weather service received reports of wind damage. 50 of those. this is just preliminary. i suspect we'll see more of these storm reports for the day tomorrow and tuesday. and unfortunately it's going to be a rough go. but things quieting down. the severe thunderstorm watch that was in effect earlier has been dropped. the only active watch is across the chesapeake bay. today we hit 94 degrees. we'll stay in the 90 for the day tomorrow and tuesday as well. since we had the rain and nighttime hours lost the sun, temperatures now in the 70's. the dew point temperatures remain in the upper sibts to low 70's. as this cold front slowly inches toward the east, we have a lot of heat and humidity ahead of it. that will fuel strong storms

tomorrow afternoon. we won't tap into this cooler and drier air until wednesday. it will be welcome after two days of nasty weather. we have a slight risk for strong to severe storms tomorrow. this is courtesy of the storm prediction center. the storms that develop tomorrow could contain gusty winds. hail, and an isolated tornado not out of the question. make sure you have plans in place. know where to seek shelter if you are outdoors. temperatures tonight falling into the 60's and 70's. tomorrow hot and humid. middle 90's. it will feel close to 100 degrees with the high humidity. keep an eye on the sky for the storms tomorrow and tuesday. by the middle of the week it's going to be phenomenal. temperatures in the low 80's. few spots in the upper 70's with sunshine and low humidity. something we don't normally see in mid july.

jersey. 200 passengers were evacuated from a train that derailed tonight. it was a path train that struck a box truck that was crossing the tracks. four people were treated for minor injuries. back here at home. d. dot is beefing up safety barriers along the stretch of pennsylvania avenue biker lanes. cyclists say the new additions can't happen soon enough with a car hitting a cyclist there just a few days ago. >> i think all kinds of illegal behavior. >> a biker was hit by a car on tuesday in the bike lane. the driver was later ticketed. other riders are not surprised. they have rain ined about illegal and dangerous u turns here, some caught on camera. >> drivers are a little crazy. >> even those traffic humps
