official says that the yirtse has confirmed that russia supplied missile launchers to especial raitieses in eastern ukraine. attempts were made to move them across the russian borders after thursday's incident. karen with more. >> today the focus was on correcting the bodies. volunteers dug-up, bagged and trucked away the remains of some of the 298 victims of malaysia air flight 17. they were moved to a strong hold of the pro-russian rebels. those rebels control the area where the plane was shotdown on thursday. terry moran reports that a few locals have an unofficial perimeter around some of the wreckage but there are no professional aircraft investigators in charge. >> one of the wings came down in this field and frankly it is outrageous that we can get this

something. i know somebody knows something. >> cameras near the university of maryland will soon be running 24 hours a day. the college park city council approved the change. it ends a policy that limited the city's use of the speed cameras from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. this is among a number of changes where three pedestrians were struck and killed by cars this year alone. well, some will lose their homes. others will get to keep them that's a new proposed plan for washington residents were forced him. during a meeting with prince georges county officials, they learned 22 homes will be saved. six other homes will be bought out and torn down. one resident whose house would be torn down is coming to terms with the loss of his house. >> we'll still lose the home no matter what. for us personally, that

week's storm. take a look. lightning struck right behind the capitol dome monday night striking thely brare of congress. to reports of injury or damage from that strike. that said, other parts of our area did receive storm damage. in arlington a massive tree came crashing down crushing two cars and blocking part of gleib oad. >> pretty dangerous to be out here. >> the lightning ripped and the rain fell in arlington like an avalanche late monled afternoon. >> it's just madness out here today. for some reason, all of a sudden it was sunny and then it was raining cats and dogs. >> but this storm was much more than an inconvenience. >> i just want to get home before it gets windier and trees start falling.

>> and that's exactly what happened. crews in the district and virginia were busy cleaning up after howling winds rolled through the region. >> looked out the window. next thing you know the transformer just totally went up. >> outside his window a massive tree toppled, damaging the roadway and crushing not one but two cars near north gleib and henderson roads. >> that storm was crazy. i wasn't expecting it to be so powerful. the owner of the flatten pickup told us he's glad he was nowhere near being in his truck. >> the power be -- will be on after 12:00. actually, damage from the storms. but what is ahead? >> pretty quiet for the rest of the weekend. we do have that threat for some

storms come thursday probably not to the severity that we had earlier this week. some pretty wild storms. but it was the same storm that brought us the cooler than average temperatures. it was a nice day at the national harbor. mostly cloudy skies to start. you can see some of the peaks of blue in the sky. i thought you might like this. the capital ferris wheel all lit up in the nighttime sky. pretty dry for most of us. folks closer to the blue ridge did get more rain. temperatures from our weather bug sights about 60 -- in the 60-degree range. lincoln with .06 of rain. the doppler showing a few sprinkles and starting to build a little bit more for fairfax county.

mostly cloudy skies. it did keep temperatures 84 degrees. so still below of our average of 89. e've fallen into the 60's. winds have gone calm. winds today have generally been out of the east and that's what's been drawing in some of the moisture. it also helped to initiate some shower development. some of that continuing to push toward the east. the weather pattern will be similar. we have this week air pressure. and that's what bringing us this onshore flow. mostly cloudy, tomorrow morning waking up to cloudy conditions. there are a few little sprinkles out to if west but overall most of us will be dry. and maybe catching a little bit of a break and seeing some sunshine and that heading into early next week. >> temperatures in the 60.

morning clouds and afternoon son and maybe a stray shower. 84 degrees for the day on monday. but then the heat and humidity really start to build by tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. 15% chance of seeing some storms where you are that day. i don't think we will have wildly scattered severe storms just the generic thunderstorms activity but a little bit cooler behind that front. >> if you're interested in hitting the theaters to try to cool down. some interesting new movies are out there.
