7:00 am
>> winter weather alert coverage this morning, snow is slowly moving out of the area. maryland virginia, they are checking on all of those conditions for you. >> happy to have your long for our continuing coverage as we get started this morning. local schools and the federal government are all closed, encase you did not know that. if you did, good for you, go back to sleep. >> let's get right over to jacqui jeras, who has a check on your conditions right now. things are starting to move out? >> back to sleep? no, there is no to be played in. >> are you kidding me? the kids are starting to think that it looks bright in your
7:01 am
bedroom window? it really happened. it really happened. we have snow everywhere across the region. doppler radar showing some light snow showers lingering from baltimore into northeastern maryland, but we are done here it exited quickly between 5:00 and 6:00 this morning. the warnings have all expired with the exception of our eastern counties. they could hold on upper we are still seeing snow showers and even though the warnings have an dropped to the west, keep in mind that they are covered in snow. take a look at the live picture on top of our rooftop camera. the temperatures 18 degrees. got a little bit of a wind chill. 12 in gaithersburg the forecast for the rest of the day, we are seeing the clouds breaking up a little bit. by the middle of the day the
7:02 am
temperatures will warm up, but not above the freezing mark. the sunshine could cause some melting in a few locations. if the kids are headed outside today, bundle them up temperatures will be cold enough that you do not want to be exposed for too long. it is a sledding kind of day not a snowball kind of day. otherwise you will not be able to do it. how much snow have we had across the region? brian van de graaff will be joining us about 10 minutes after the hour to take a look at snowfall totals across the region and we will get some more of our viewer photos. traffic right now? wto p four more road conditions? hopefully most people are heeding the warnings and staying off the roads today. >> we will check in with jack coming up in just a little bit. first thing is first, we are going to woodbridge this morning
7:03 am
with the latest on the conditions there. >> we are still keeping an eye on the roads here. we are again starting to see some pavement. small things matter when you got snow like this. you can see some of the black which is of course the sign of progress being made. on the other side of the street here you still have the coding on 95. sometimes it is all clear in other areas. still, i enough of an indication that you should not be driving in these conditions. the plows want time to clear off the roads. i spoke to a driver earlier and they said their biggest frustration when it comes to their job is that the drivers are on the road and do not give enough space. speaking of, you want to give them about five seconds of space
7:04 am
to do their job correctly. this is massive snow that you are finding today. you will find that this is where a lot of people are getting stuck. you go to turn into the shopping centers on your neighborhood streets and you run into this. if you do not have four-wheel-drive, if you have a small car, perhaps you will want to stay home. we are seeing things being relatively quiet. take a listen to what the drivers said they saw this morning. >> it was slow, it took me about an hour longer to get here the normal. >> is slippery, it gets real bad when there are too many people on the road. >> that is the good news this morning. it really sounds like people have been taking this advice. it has been quiet and quiet is
7:05 am
good when you have these kinds of conditions. we will keep on keeping an eye on this for you and we will let you know when we see more changes. >> thank you very much. we of course want to see how the roads are looking. jack taylor is with us, what's the word? >> it has been quiet. hopefully everyone is heating the warnings to stay inside for as long as they can. the work is much needed at this point. a lot of activity on 295 near the 11th street bridge, we have a live shot on south capitol street in here you can see travel lanes and unfortunately here is the slip ramp coming up on two south capitol street. that is kind of what the rest of 295 is looking like. there is one car going by, the volume is light.
7:06 am
the beltway around river road, this is the academy of what you will find. the lanes are accessible. you do have some pavement you can contend with, 270, same kind of deal, everyone off to a decent start on kenilworth avenue and prince george's north round, headed north towards ivy lane, the lanes are closed because of the poles and wires that are down. a larger battle is going to truly be a long the far left right side of the roadway otherwise secondary and side streets will be your biggest hassle. do not overdo it when shoveling this morning, just take it easy, please. >> good advice. >> the roads are looking pretty good. >> i know. we want to get over to brian who has been here all morning long, pulling over the snow totals and temperatures right now. >> we definitely want to pull up the telestrator source. i have got my snow totals loaded up there.
7:07 am
outside this morning we are looking at these numbers and these are the newest ones. seven inches of snow so far. burke, virginia, coming in at three and a half. impressive snowfall totals out there. share your pictures with us on twitter. we would love to for you to share them, it would be helpful for us. cold out there, the snow is not going anywhere anytime soon. temperatures slowly climbing outside this morning, this afternoon we may, just may, if we are lucky, make it to near 30 degrees. the forecast for the afternoon even though it is a low action we are keeping our eye out for tomorrow, tomorrow there is a potential for lines of snow to come through in the afternoon,
7:08 am
which could lead to some slick spots again tomorrow afternoon. we will be watching that carefully. eileen is live outside storm chaser seven in rockland. >> heating up? you have got to be kidding me. it is heating up in my head because i have this great fuzzy hat keeping me warm thanks to one of our producers. behind me i wanted to show you -- do i need to use my super strength to push the cars? just before as you were talking i saw a taxi starting to spin out. the road conditions, even though the crews are working so hard it is so cold and under the snow there is just this layer of ice he much. it just really makes it difficult for you to get traction when you are on the roadway. be extra cautious, really. from my vantage point it really
7:09 am
looks like the crews are maybe a bit too fast, but you can also see the muddy properties, they have an with their snowblowers all morning long. it is fortunately this kind of more fine and fluffy snow. good news, but as far as the sidewalks go? they have done an amazing job. they also told the that they were concerned because it looked nice and clear but that there is a fine layer of almost ice over it. if you do have to be out, walk with caution. kids that wanted to go out and have some fun, whatever the case, make sure you are bundled up, it is cold out here, not a lot of wind but anytime the light breeze comes through it feels that much colder. live super doppler, we can see looking so much quieter. the snow is finally done, we all get a snow day and it is mardi
7:10 am
gras. how are you celebrating? i want to know, let's get the celebration done early right now. tweet to us and we will see it. we cannot wait to hear. happy mardi gras, happy snow day. >> all right, eileen. thank you so much. 7:10 is the time. outside we want to take you there live this morning. fitting, this morning, the white
7:11 am
7:12 am
>> welcome back. we continue team coverage of the winter weather. johnny has been in port washington all morning long and joins us live with a look at conditions in southern prince george's county. >> for so many out here it has already been a long day.
7:13 am
i was just talking to this contractor who drives this truck. he just pulled in to get a break, may a nice, warm cup of coffee he is in the middle of a 24 hour shift in these guys have been working hard all morning long, you can see the front end loader being used to clear the parking lot there. we got at least six inches of snow, we will walk over here and truck to the roadway to give you a sense of what we are dealing with this morning. this gives you an idea of how much snow has fallen in the area. a good six inches at least. we have not seen much pavement all morning long but some of the main thoroughfares over here , like livingston road definitely passable but when you have these backroads behind me here? take a look, not one plow has come through.
7:14 am
if you step out here it is even hard to tell the difference between the sidewalk and the roads. that is what you will run into this morning as you drive to the area this car is having a hard time trying to pull into the 7-eleven here. if you are coming out you definitely want to clear out as much snow as possible for yourself and the neighboring commuters, it will be slow going . as i mentioned, not a lot of pavement this morning. as far as the main thoroughfare's it is very messy and snowy out here and at last check only about 15 degrees. all of this snow will soon become hard, crusty, and even harder to get around. back to you inside, ladies. >> thank you for the update. we want to get out to jackie in
7:15 am
fredericksburg, where he has been for the last three hours. lots of snow is still behind you. >> johnny g was just talking about the idea of how cold it is outside? we are probably looking at six inches, seven inches in that range. not going anywhere because of the cold weather. this has been an interesting hub of activity at the moment. can you get back there, chris? we have a tractor in the background and in the foreground we have a pickup truck doing some work there. they really has been a lot of activity in terms of the plowing going on here. there was a gentleman here on the right that had a snow blower going, the trucks are out in full force and fredericksburg. taking it which shift over here, this is route three, a main road , we have seen them all morning long and in this section of town
7:16 am
of virginia they have 900 pieces of equipment out there on the roads trying to plow and get the work done. 3800 pieces of equipment in the far northern virginia areas of loudoun and fairfax. for the drivers, for the truck drivers, it has been a tough morning out there. >> it's pretty bad. the roads are messy. the traffic finally started to die down, maybe we can start to get our job done. >> it is challenging and difficult, it is raining and wet with precipitation. >> very slippery indeed and as promised, that last woman we just heard from had traveled from atlanta and was on her way to maryland. she said that it took upwards of 16 to 17 hours and she could not go above 35 to 45 miles per
7:17 am
hour. one piece of good news today it does seem that from what we are seeing a lot of people are heeding the warning from government agencies saying to stay off the road and if you do have to go off, certainly drive with caution, that is definitely something we are seeing in the fredericksburg area, good news not only for keeping things safe but also to give those trucks plenty of room to work on the roads. >> good advice there. jeff, thank you. we have been asking for your photos all morning long. do we have some advice for you? >> i do have a lot of photos, so first of all, thank you. we cannot be everywhere at once and we appreciate not only your photos, but your snow reports as well.
7:18 am
when you take your pictures and send them in, please have your phone sideways like this, if you take them like this we cannot use them on the air. make sure that you send them out and give us the #. we will work on getting those in about 20 minutes from now and i hope we will have a nice collection to share. >> that will do it on the fly. >> that does it now. >> can you still hear me? >> yes. >> hold on one second. >> this is live television, my friends. this is what happens. >> there we go. the snow is over and done with and that is the good news. the accumulation is done, snow has exited the region. we have a nice clean sweep beyond the light flurries, the
7:19 am
wind is light enough that we will not be dealing with that, but we will have time today to get cleaned up, they are excited about the snow. let them get out there to play it is cold without the nasty wind chill. downtown it is 18 degrees, that the temperature on the thermometer. rising into the 20's to the afternoon, hagerstown, manassas, good morning. 14 degrees there in lexington park, between about six inches and nine inches of snow, and if that is not cold enough for you we have more arctic hare on the way across the upper midwest lasting into our region by midday tomorrow. clearing a little bit this afternoon, peaks of sunshine possible, then the cold front approaches. we will see chances for snow showers by midday and in the
7:20 am
afternoon hours we could pick up a coating of snow across the region. i think that this situation will be similar to what we had over the weekend where we get a coating of snow and then the temperatures take a dive. your seven-day forecast today we are done with the snow, look for a peak of sunshine and by tomorrow we could see snow showers by midday with midteens for highs on thursday. cold through the weekend, that is when the next system arrives with a few snow showers on saturday mixing and changing over to rain on sunday. getting us through today is jack taylor at wto, who has the latest conditions on the roads. >> everyone he the warning, if you can stay off the roadways for the next few hours, that would be great. in virginia on the right side of the roadway coming from the toll road onto the inner loop, the
7:21 am
beltway itself is ok, just be careful if you are coming into the toll road itself. we had a problem on 100 westbound before the baltimore-washington parkway some debris hanging off the side, crews are on the scene. kenilworth avenue on the beltway, the wires were down and this is northbound candlewood closed between northbound and ivy lane. back to you. >> jackie just gave you a bit of an update on how to send your photos and as soon as we get more we will send them, but right now we want to show you how things look on the roadways. brianne carter has been all over the area all morning long. how are things looking right now? can the true -- the crew street the roads? >> absolutely and they are doing a very good job across the region. they have been working all night
7:22 am
long to get these open. you can see a lot more pavement at this hour. i just talked to my photographer, he used 95 to come into arlington this morning and it was very treacherous. he said it was a big difference that a couple of hours had made. obviously you can see the mixture on the road there. you can see the brown color behind that as well. certainly good news here. you can see the ramps on and off , major roads, that is where we are still seeing some issues. take a look at the car in front of us. all the snow on top comes flying off the car behind you, not good for drivers. on the right-hand side of the roadway approaching the fairfax county parkway, crews working to get though shoulders cleared where the areas you would merge
7:23 am
back onto 95. kudos to getting those up and off the road as quickly as possible. we will continue to keep an eye on the road, but for now sending it back to you. >> nice and clear this morning. want to head out and take a picture? make sure that you send them in horizontally. kelly is at the social media desk and is sifting through the pictures. getting some good stuff? >> i am. i want to send a big thank you to virginia thomas. she lives in maryland. this is what it looks like. i asked people to just grabbed their phones and go to the window. open the door to see what's there. she did exactly that. this is a cute one on twitter. do see how cute it is? this is a snowball with wheels. we have got some other ones we want to share with you. here is one from the park.
7:24 am
i would call this four inches in central bc. the snow-covered d.c. bureau outside my house last night as the snow was falling. this one is in alexandria, virginia. that was 52 minutes ago. at the moment we are on wilson boulevard a few minutes from china garden, quiet but beautiful, eileen whelan has been picking things up to show us what they look like. this is the number one top prize here. everything is closed and d.c. don't laugh, boston. do you think that boston is is laughing at us? >> probably. five inches? that's so cute. we have five feet. we love seeing those photos. keep sending them in. we will bring you the best
7:25 am
photos. thank you. we want to see your snow pictures, tweet to us with the #dmv snow.
7:26 am
7:27 am
>> welcome back. we are continuing the snow coverage this morning, these are the first images we are getting of a light pole that crashed onto kenilworth avenue. check taylor has been talking about it all morning long, it has all lanes of kenilworth avenue block. --. brianne carter was there earlier as well, showing you how traffic is kind of slowing to get around it. these are the first images we are getting over the scene this morning.
7:28 am
crews are working to get this cleared, but in addition to trying to get the snow removed you can imagine that it is taking some time, so heads up you cancer may expect delays towards kenilworth avenue as they try to fix the problem this morning. happening right now, a snow emergency is an effective it is wrecked. what does that mean? the snow team will be able to start clearing snow emergency routes. if your car is parked in the way, it will be ticketed and towed, so check the street signs and make sure that you are not in a snow emergency removal route, a violation will get you a $250 ticket plus a towing fee and a daily storage fee. this is a costly mistake if you leave your car in the snow removal area. mike is live in dupont circle he has been there all morning long. seems like traffic is starting to pick up behind you? >> a good observation.
7:29 am
roads getting slowly but surely more clear, sidewalks getting clear now as well. i imagine that one of our viewers is finishing a cup of coffee and getting up the courage to go outside. i'm joined now by a local sidewalk shoveling expert. first, why not start with correct form for sidewalk shoveling? >> what we want to make sure that we do is to pick the right tools. you will want a shovel that maximizes body mechanics keeping your feet shoulder width apart, pushing in snow as much as possible. when you lift the snow you want to bend the knees, lift with your legs, keep the snow is close to your body as much as possible. >> you said that shorter is better when it comes to shovels?
7:30 am
>> for someone who is taller they will want something more ergonomic. like this. >> it is cold out here. >> it is. give it a try. >> tell me how my form is. >> you want to push as much is possible. bend your knees. you are to go ahead and bend with your knees and push with your legs. >> a lot of older people have real concerns about shoveling. concerns about heart attacks and strokes. you say that it's better to wait until later in the day to go shovel. why? >> that's correct. giving your body time to warm up in the morning will protect you from killing -- pulling a cold muscle and prevent strokes or heart attacks. stretching her muscles warms up your heart and it is the strongest muscle in our body, we wanted to be nice and warm.
7:31 am
>> you were talking about warning signs of a heart or stroke? >> take plenty of brakes. knowing the signs and symptoms is going to save your life or the life of a loved one. the heart association recently released a new acronym, fast acting, arm weakness, slurred speech, time to call 911. call your local emergency services if you have any of those symptoms. >> in the snow is pretty light and fluffy, maybe even a broom would work today. you use about the same amount of energy in a single round of tennis. >> should we be grunting? >> hopefully not, hopefully you're taking plenty of brakes. >> we will be back with more coverage of the pending midday snowball fight. >> the exciting part of our snow coverage today, what everyone is looking forward to.
7:32 am
thank you, good tips. as mike was saying, this is not the thick, heavy, wet snow that typically goes along with heart attacks and health problems. >> brad bell was in st. mary's county this morning, shoveling the snow early this morning. >> after hearing mike's story, i put the shovel down. are you kidding? look what i did. look at the huge mountain of snow that i did not really put here. the plow has been outworking. that is one of the things i want to show you. this pile was made from a small parking lot that was pushed year. you can see i'm up a few feet off the ground. i also want to show you that it is a very easy snow to shovel and plow. if you take a look down the road here it is the tale of two roads. the cars coming towards us, that
7:33 am
is the general coming home route down here and the other side as they go to work direction, northbound. you can see that they are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. this has really only been hit by two plow trains they came by twice, eight trucks all at the same time moving the snow to the shoulder and a little while ago we saw a single truck headed towards the shoulder to make sure that the width of the roadways clear. they have some heavy equipment working on the crossover. perfect timing. we did get seven inches down here just as our entire team said that we would. seven inches of snow is what we have gotten. but the timing was absolutely perfect. no traffic on the roads, the plows were able to do their jobs .
7:34 am
we have been joking a lot shoveling the parking lot. i did not shovel a parking lot they had a little plow out here. with no cars on it you been able to get down to the payment and it does not have any of the ridges of compacted snow. this looks like the kind that we can clean up pretty easily. that said, just about everyone has a snow day, so if you can wait longer the cruise will really be able to get to it. we were the last little vestige of heavy snow, it was followed right until the end. beautiful, light fluffy snow. as we said, absolutely perfect timing. back to you. >> you are right, i think we will see things get better at a rapid pace. good job on that snow reporting. >> the only thing that would
7:35 am
make it better would be the back half. you got to work tomorrow and more days. >> brian van de graaff, though? we might be in store for more? >> this right, we have a dusty coding again on top of the roadways. all of the winter storm watches except for the extreme eastern area, the winter storm warnings have been dropped. here is the big picture here lifting up to the east and northeast, still lingering out of the southeast and the tidewater through southern portions of virginia on the eastern shore, that is the last of the energy moving through. cold right now down in the city. two out in pittsburgh. it is cold in the carolinas even. the cold air is in place, it will be a cold afternoon with a bit of sunshine and drying out through the afternoon and evening. sunshine tomorrow morning
7:36 am
temperatures near freezing. snow showers are possible with frigid air moving in across the area, so be prepared tomorrow for more snow to head our way and once that moves out of here the arctic air teams are here for thursday and friday. >> quiet. lots of folks not going anywhere this morning. which is good. we have had a crash at the end of the toll road on the right side of the roadway. state authorities are there, the volume is still light, the plow trains have been rolling through and we are beginning to see more pavement to the left getting by a few are into that area. taking a live look downtown we are in good shape year before the 11th street bridge. activity continues along kenilworth north of 495, it remains closed with no access headed north.
7:37 am
news chopper seven flew over the scene. a lot of equipment still apparently on the scene the nothing yet getting by. if it is in your path of travel you will find yourself rerouted. >> here is what you need to know if you plan to take metro today. metro access service is suspended until wednesday. trains are running on a saturday schedule until midnight. metro will be suspending aboveground rail service. that's the good news. make sure that you stay tuned to our facebook and twitter pages. as soon as we hit metro for updates, the information will be passed to you. >> you busted me on twitter. we want to get an update on the conditions in north bethesda.
7:38 am
we should point out that kevin is a birthday boy. did you wish for snow for your birthday this year? >> i could not that snow was high on my list, but i will take it nonetheless. could be worse. snowfall was anywhere between one inches and two inches. you can see the cruise shoveling here, plowing in the background. yes, some people are going to work today as they walked to the metro platform. taking a look down at the grove stretch in metro center, this is the platform as we see. there was a train that went through here and headed towards shady grove. the side of the platform cleared off. they did start at 5 a.m. this morning. like a normal weekday.
7:39 am
montgomery county public schools also cancel schools, joining the other districts. county government has closed as well. if you want some free parking at rockville or silver spring? county garages are open in the hopes that roads will be cleared and that plows can get to them as quickly as possible. >> thank you. this storm is impacting the air and the roadways. >> over 1000 flights were canceled this morning from atlanta to boston. no surprises. live at reagan national this morning things are taking a turn for the better. chris? >> at think something is definitely got a lot better here. after flights were canceled yesterday we can now confirm that flights are now departing from the airport. about 240 flights were canceled this morning.
7:40 am
this creative a lot of issues for a lot of people. hundreds of people sleeping in the terminal last night, and we have other people right here trying to see if they can get some more sl we don't want to wake them up we will take our direction here into the tarmac area. this is the jetblue plane that is currently being deiced. it should technically be the next one to go. you can see that one plane is getting ready for departure here. one gent terminal last night was trying to go to los angeles, where he was happy to say there was no snow. another person trying to get to colorado for three days. first it was technical issues and then they obviously had issues with the snow. another person we spoke to is from rhode island. she has four to five feet of snow at her house and is trying to get away from it. her connecting flight took her
7:41 am
right to reagan national in the snow followed her. this was the first day of her vacation and here's what she had to say. >> you are kind of used to this? >> yes, but i am trendy it away from it. we get stuck here last night. >> the whole flight was supposed to leave this morning. she was hopefully able to get out. these are the flights arriving the boards have been consistently looking better throughout the morning. some flights are canceled, 240 but many of them have been rescheduled, which has a lot of people very optimistic. hundreds of people now in the airport, getting coffee, getting things to eat, the airport is a writ -- awake after a pretty brutal might. >> good to see that things are improving their.
7:42 am
some of our area hospitals actually need your help this morning. laura hastings has more on the information that you need to know. >> justin a last hour we got word that the prince georges hospital center is in need of drivers with four-wheel-drive vehicles. patients do need transport. if you can help out, give them a call. here's the number. 301-618-3290. also, the nursing and rehab center in northeast is in need of drivers today with four-wheel-drive vehicles as well. the number to call there is 269, 7100. those numbers will be on our website. if you can help out, give them a call. >> thank you for that. when we come back, jacqui will check on the snow totals for us
7:43 am
this morning and we are going to continue our coverage right here until 8 a.m., then we will rejoin good morning america." that is the plan for today. we have a live look at the beltway near interstate 66, the traffic tracker moving along smoothly this morning with road crews getting the roads cleared for you. yo
7:44 am
7:45 am
7:46 am
>> welcome back, we want to get you back out live, this is a problem that we have been talking about all morning long and kenilworth avenue. a light pole came down. crews are on the scene trying to get that repaired. right now all the lanes are blocked. as well as the ramp from the outer loop to the north. there in the kevin worth avenue area if you can avoid the area definitely try to do so. >> we are just about three hours and 16 minutes away from an ethnic event, the snowball fight, an annual tradition going down in dupont circle. >> mike is the lucky man who finds himself in the middle of his -- this fight each year. you seem to have a smile on your face. >> i cannot wait. the whole day has been building
7:47 am
up to this moment. we are told by the officials with the organization of the snowball effort that the fight, we are expecting, will happen around noon. the only concern that i have is that this snow is so powdery it's more like sand. it would be real tough to make snowballs out of it. you could sweep it off with a broom. unless you get your hands in it. then you could get a pretty miniature snowball. that is about it. otherwise it's pretty good for making art, as i demonstrated earlier, with kind of a social experiment. my snow art is for the most part fairly intact. playing with food coloring in the snow, making some artwork. i promised justin that i would do a snow angel. until the snowball fight starts
7:48 am
i will have to make do with some snow angels and other snow activities. the big event starts at 11:00. $75 for the craziest costume of the snowball fight participant. >> we are rooting for you, mike. winning money? >> always an endorsement. >> ok, it is still coming down. the warning is over. now it is time for the cleanup. >> but we have another round of snow showers coming tomorrow afternoon. keep that in mind. in gaithersburg, maryland, notice how the roads are still quite covered in fairfax.
7:49 am
cla popped the windshield right there? a good idea so that it does not get stuck to your car. from rockville, this looks cool in the parking lot, doesn't it? take a look at this one, from stephanie in maryland. nice there on top of the patio table, a good seven inches or better. doppler seven radar across the region right now, the snow heads up very quickly between 5:00 and 6:00 this morning and for the rest of the day we have cloud cover throughout the morning. this afternoon it will become partly cloudy with a high of around 29 degrees. skies partly cloudy with another system coming through here bringing midday snow showers and a possible coding, more inches
7:50 am
on top of what we have. all bundled up, dressed appropriately. you know that you are coming out into the snow today. >> i know, i know, a snow day for everyone. so many of us snow lovers were asking when we would get the good one. here it is now. we are enjoying it. wondering why i have these colorful beads? we are celebrating. i have been enjoying it out here, despite being cold. normally at this hour at the intersection of wilson and north lynn there are so many people. the intersection is blocked with so many people traveling. today is not the case, it is kind of alarming because you are like us where is everyone? i will say that the streets are still pretty covered with snow.
7:51 am
at this intersection i am noticing a lot of people come the stop light, they stopped and as they start to hit the gas, the tires just kind of spin out a little bit. they cannot get that traction. even though it's a lot of powder, that can make it hard to drive in. but the crews are doing a great job cleaning up. the roads, the sidewalks, they are looking better. the properties have been out here all morning long and the only thing is that there is a thin layer of not necessarily ice, but it is extra slick. -- slick. fortunately to clean your car today all you really need is a brush. i am and just be awaiting mike's report this afternoon with the epic snowball fight.
7:52 am
