rob: so many states it was severe weather that on monday we will focus on the great lakes minneapolis and chicago and detroit under the gun. rocky marciano. kellye: closer to home officials are investigating the collapse of a church under construction. this happened in the dominion valley market square shopping center in haymarket. firefighters arrived to find the roof partially collapsed. two workers were injured and no word on their conditions. a new warning for anyone who rides metro. there have been a high number of cell phone snatches at a number of different metro stops. brianne carter has the video that the police want you to see. brianne: police say this is a recent robbery trend. watch as they walk up to the train and grab the cell phone and run out of the station. >> i just pay more attention and keep my phone in my bag.

brianne: metro transit police say they are investigating a half a dozen similar robberies of the popular iphone 6. the victim is usually using the phone when it is not. -- snatched. they are happening on the blue and orange and silver lines when the train is in the station with doors open. it happened three times at the deanwood station and wants the -- once each at the eastern market station. they say a group of suspects might be responsible. >> i thought it was on the downtick. brianne: tonight a warning from the police. do not use your phone near doors or on an escalator. if you are on the platform look around. police are increasing patrols as they try to crack down the people who are snatching smartphones. >> as soon as the train comes i put it in my pocket. i do not leave it out. brianne: brianne carter, abc 7

kellye: a driver is in the hospital after crashing through several yards in newton, north carolina. he slumped to avoid a car in hit others in the process. two people in the other car died. a big fluff tonight over chicken wings that started with a menu mixup and ended with a bill that was too big to stomach. horace holmes bigs in. h -- digs in. horace. : he asked not to show his face but dee loves chicken which is why he was so happy when he thought he ran across a great deal.

dee: i told the manager i would like to order some wings. horace: it was in the brochure he was given during a recent trip. 50 peace order for $8.99. too good to be true? you bet. >> he said we could not order because it was a misprint. horace: he walked away mad. dee: he should honor it. horace: we found out that he is not the only one fired up. the manager of the store told him they were not going to hand out the misprinted menus to anyone else but we found customers walking out of the store with the brochures. and look on the counter, loads of them. between the dirty piece for -- $20 and 99 -- 30 piece for $20 and $.99, the 50 piece.

we call the store owner and he told us he cannot afford to sell 50 wings at eight dollars and $.99 -- $8.99. the owner says to look at the menu on the wall and you see the real price. after we visited his store he came up with this solution, having employees handwrite the three in front of the price on the brochures. kellye: a simple solution. the owner of this store purchased thousands of brochures and they all have the misprint so he has fired the company that made them and ordered new brochures. you should be in store next week and in the meantime no $8.99 deal for anyone.

kellye: let's get an update on the forecast. we have had all kinds of crazy weather from the rain and the lightning and the thunder yesterday and now a dry. late but the heat will remain -- period but the heat will remain. ryan: we have had 10 days in june with 90 degrees or higher and we will add to the total tomorrow and tuesday as well. we have had tremendous amount of rain and on saturday we picked up more rain than the entire month of may so it has been a crazy weekend in terms of the weather. today's temperatures were uncomfortable at times in the afternoon. father's day 2015 at temperatures into the 90's areawide. 92 in quantico.

when you factor in the moisture in the atmosphere we had feels like temperatures well above the triple digit mark in many locations. 94 and 76 is the official high and low. 86 and 68 are where we should be. 101 as the record high and 50 degrees is a record low from 1992. today is the first day of astronomical summer, the solstice was earlier today and it felt like summer. it feels like summer right now 80 degrees currently on thermometers in alexandria. wind-up west northwest at 20 miles an hour. a cool front is coming our way and may trigger isolated showers in the northwestern suburbs. most of us will stay dry, it will just keep the wind gusting. look at the air temperatures approaching midnight, 86 at reagan national right now. 78 in andrews and 79 in manassas. as we mentioned a lot of moisture in the atmosphere with dew points into the 50's and

60's. it makes it feel like it is still 93 degrees at reagan national. mid to upper 80's in many locations. we will slowly cool into the 70's. we are watching a few showers northwest of washington into maryland dissipating so we will not see much in terms of rain.he view and you can see a couple, a little bit of our activity west of washington but it is dying down as the atmosphere fades. futurecast paints a picture, we can see a few showers in maryland dissipate through the overnight. waking up to a mixture of clouds and sun. tomorrow afternoon a few storms west of washington, we will be dry in d.c. itself and it will be hot with high temperatures into the low 90's. 80 degrees at midnight and 74 when you wake up tomorrow and 85 around lunchtime tomorrow and the next seven days. we will add to the 90 degree total, 91 tomorrow, 96 at least

they are unhappy. >> some people would not like such a cramped space. mike: university points out in fall 2014 the new hall at on cap is adding 380 beds. that same year nebraska hall got an additional 200 40 beds. construction is underway on the new campus on the other side of nebraska campus. it will feature more academic buildings in residence halls, adding 590 beds. before 2015 demand has outpaced supply. students complain that universities do this all the time excepting to many students expecting >> a certain number will drop out. > my freshman year and subsequent years there were students living in lounges. mike: in a statement the university said they are trying to balance the commitment to students and community and are working diligently to ensure satisfactory housing options for

maryland company thousands of dollars for a chance at stardom. some of them have waited for years for a refund when they say the company's promises fell flat. 7 on your side site team has learned they will not be getting a check anytime soon. as investigator josie explains, marylanders are now in line behind alleged victims from another state. josie: she is a stunner in her senior portrait but recall did not know if you was model material. >> it is easy to get caught up. josie: she got caught up with an agency that attorneys general state of thousands from people they claim have the look. >> it was an extraordinarily long and frustrating battle. josie: her mother says she is so owed more than $12,000 that she paid two years ago after she was approached of the mall. >> these are letters that i sent. josie: even though the family sent certified letters trying to cancel the contract the day after she signed up, still no

refund. the family did not respond to requests for comment. the lawyer met with representatives at this office and although the company is long gone from the building, problems have certainly stuck around. >> they are a scam. josie: 7 on your side first told you about them last year and now the i-team has learned even more. they moved to florida. court records show that the attorney general is suing, saying that they misled customers and recently freezing assets after getting complaints from 240 people. maryland has 50 complaints but cannot tell us if they are investigating working with florida authorities. >> they should at least try to go in there and recoup the money from the other 49 people or 50 people that are here. josie: a process has gotten action against interface in new jersey where the company settled with the attorney general
