right into the same spot. the two men could not make peace and that is when police say miller went on the attack baseball that in hand. two cars, one parking spot. the motive for an alleged his outback steakhouse in silver spring. police say driver david miller on his horn, shouted foul language, and then grabbed a wooden baseball bat from inside his car and used it to repeatedly clock the other driver over the head. according to court records, the victim had led all over his face ears, hands, and chest. one eye was swollen shut. paramedics rushed him to the hospital. miller said he swung himself

rarely cracked. when crews pulled the child they said the child was covered in sweat and was hot to the touch. they called and found that child's guardian. he has been arrested and charged with neglect. a howard county woman recovering tonight after a truck slanted to her apartment. police say the 40-year-old was trying to back his car from a covert spot and he kept hitting a support role and a short time later drove his truck through the sliding glass door of the apartment. the man ran off to get help all crews worked to shore up the building foundation. he was arrested when he got back to the scene. the woman is in stable condition tonight. tonight the body of a second voter has been pulled from the water in baltimore. that note ran into a concrete abutment on baltimore's key bridge.

this was right around 3:00 this morning. anne arundel first alert reported this, posted it on their facebook page. you can see the boat was heavily damaged. six other people are still in the hospital and there is no word on what caused the wreck. the search continues for two missing fishermen in florida. the coast guard found the boat but there is no trace of the 214-year-olds on it. they were last seen friday afternoon, likely attempting to sail to the bahamas and back on their own. families say the boys are skilled voters. -- boaters. tomorrow we are looking ahead to some rain. devin? reporter: already tracking showers, possible thunderstorms. stormscan shows more stubby storm activity is north and west of washington.

massive fire, 14 stories above the las vegas strip. no official cause yet, but they think a cigarette started the blaze at the cosmopolitan hotel. fake palm trees and cabanas went up in flames and it took 110 firefighters nearly 30 minutes to put it out. >> you turned around and the whole thing was on higher. -- fire. anchor: every floor above the pool deck was evacuated as smoke took over the hotel. a least one person was hospitalized and treated for smoke inhalation. tomorrow a step forward after that devastating fire at harpers ferry. business adjusters are heading into those eight edited buildings since the three alarm blaze broke out on thursday morning. eight historic businesses were destroyed. president obama is now in ethiopia, making him the first u.s. president to visit that

anchor: right now people are celebrating one year of the silver line. metro is hosting a free party that started at 6:00. the party continues tonight when metro shows the popular movie "despicable me close out on an outdoor screen with free popcorn. that starts at 8:45 to metro is giving you free rides to and from dulles airport today and tomorrow. it leaves from the wheelie rest in east metro station. the smithsonian smashing an online funding goal. we first told you about the reboot the suit effort yesterday on abc 7 news but now diane cho is showing you the part of the campaign you have not seen.

[inaudible] reporter: for the first time, the smithsonian's journey to crowdsourcing to raise money to put neil armstrong's space suit back on display. as of sunday afternoon, the reboot the suit campaign has raised more than $535,000 reaching its goal in five days. >> the suit was on display for 30 days. in 2006 we decided it needed to take a rest. reporter: the space suit has been tucked away in a climate controlled environment, kept at about 60 degrees with low humidity in an effort to keep the suit intact. kathleen lewis says the suit itself is made up of about a dozen types of materials with as many as 21 layers. >> these are synthetic materials.

synthetic plastics have a shelf life of about 50 years. reporter: this it will be part of a temporary display in 2019 then moving to a larger exhibit called destination moon a year later. >> the apollo 11 flight will be the centerpiece of that exhibit. that is the culmination of man's exploration of the moon. reporter: the museum plans on scanning the suit in 3-d. >> we are going to map everything that happened to the suit since neil armstrong walked on the surface of the moon and we will be able to monitor it over the next generation great reporter: the campaign was so successful that the fundraising goal has been raised to $700,000. in the newsroom, diane cho, abc 7 news. anchor: tonight we are tracking some storms. who is seeing some rain and what it means to your monday morning commute, that is next.

anchor: some extremely hot weather is headed our way. reporter: the heat and humidity already felt the return. goodby two chances of that rain and possible thunderstorms. -- could be chances of that rain and possible thunderstorms. we need the rain. but we can stay away from the extreme heat. 91 felt as hot as 97. you can see towards little rock arkansas, tupelo mississippi extremely hot and humid. heat advisories, excessive heat warnings, that is criteria even higher than heat advisory criteria.

it could be here midweek trade cold front, numerous showers and storms. the short-term information it could mean light showers of those fading storms tomorrow morning. as the front comes route, there could be more showers and thunderstorms during the daytime hours. that looks to be the first day of that extreme heat. let's restart, start back now and give you the same forecast a much closer view for it. 7:00 and those storms over pennsylvania being forecast to show light showers on civil through the morning rush-hour. most forecasts have that in. but be pushing out by the time you get to the clock to 7:00 -- 6:00 to 7:00. lows tomorrow, 70 degrees. we are going to go to a hot and
