>> from abc 7 news, this is a breaking news alert. kellye: breaking news from frederick county, a deadly stabbing at an abandoned church. a man killed, a woman life flighted to the hospital in critical condition. roz plater has the latest. roz: a lot of unanswered questions. it happened at the anna

fairmount in church, a korean church with a living area and a counseling center. it happened during a prayer service at 7:45 tonight. they couple was stabbed multiple times, the man pronounced dead on the scene, the woman flown to maryland shock trauma in critical condition. she is on her way to surgery her condition upgraded to serious but stable condition. the suspect is a 30-year-old man who would been staying at the church the past week. he is also from northern virginia. he claims the second 911 call, he said i'm waiting here. he is in custody. we don't know what percent potato this, but this is how the officers describe the situation. officer: my investigators told me it was a gruesome scene pretty bloody. the stab and slashing injuries

were severe. just a bad, tragic scene unfortunate situation. roz: the evidence technicians are on scene, trying to process the scene and pick up all the evidence they can. they also have detectives on site trying to interview a large number of people who were there during the prayer service. there is ailing which barrier so they are waiting on interpreters from montgomery county. meanwhile, the woman is on her way to surgery, updated from serious to stable condition, her husband dead tonight and lots of questions about how and why this happened. roz plater, abc 7 news. kellye: bobbi kristina brown the daughter of entertainer bobby brown in late singer whitney houston, has died. she was on life support after being found unresponsive in a bathtub in january. she was eventually moved to hospice. she was 22. abc 7 is your station for breaking news.

sign up for text alerts and sign up on social media to get the latest news and updates straight to your phone. developing tonight, one brother drowned, the other assumed dead after swimming in calvert county. we first told you about daniel and douglas brown last night. they nilles body was recovered from the water, but his brother is still missing. douglas was the co-owner of a restaurant in d.c. jay korff is live in northwest with how people are remembering him tonight. jay: kellye, flowers and candles have been placed outside of the restaurant in northwest washington in memory of the brothers. doug brown was the co-owner and a beloved presence here. >> this is one of the spots that we frequent. jay: this restaurant in northwest washington is known for its festive atmosphere. on this neck, regular customers and employees are in shock.

39-year-old co-owner doug brown, on the right, and his 37-year-old brother, dan, on the left, are presumed dead, drowning victims. calvert county sheriff's officials say the brothers and a juvenile male were swimming off of cove point in lusby when the three tired from a strong current. the juvenile made it to shore, but the brothers never surfaced. they are having a hard time coming to terms that his bosses presumed dead. >> i still can't believe he is gone. they have not found the body. i'm still hopeful he is somewhere. jay: these longtime customer say that doug brown's joyous presence will be deeply missed. >> it's hard. i think about his family and his mom. i don't know his brother, but it was not just him. >> and they were relatively young. jay: the authorities believe

windows were barely cracked. when firefighters open the car it was covered in sweat. they found the child's guardian who has been arrested in cha rged with neglect. the police say that a 40-year-old was trying to pack his truck from a covered parking spot at this complex in elk ridge. he cap hitting a soup bowl and a short time later drove his truck through a sliding glass door. he ran off to get help while crews worked to shore up the foundation. the man was arrested when he got back to the scene. the woman is in stable condition. donald's controversial comets are doing him a world of good leading the crowded gop field. according to a recent poll, 18%
