for a two-hour walk. i thought it was strange. richard: he decided around 1:00 in the morning to take a walk along the road. >> that was unusual. richard: he somehow fell down an embankment and got stuck. >> there was a gap between the tree and the ground and slid down with so much force he was trapped underneath. richard: 47 days he was trapped -- for seven days he was trapped under the tree 20 feet from the row. >> i thought of his vietnam skills. that is what helped him survive. richard: a passing driver called 911. >> i couldn't imagine being outdoors that long without potable water. >> i'm so thankful we found him

bethesda. that is where chris papst is now come alive with a timeline on repairs. chris: as of right now 25 customers in the bethesda area do not have water. it took crews three hours to turn the water off to stop water from gushing over this road after the pipe burst. you can see the damage to the road from the buckling of the asphalt and the giant sinkhole. it will be sometime before this busy intersection in bethesda will be back opened to traffic. you can see what this looked like after 7:00 when the water main busted. we are at the intersection of huntington parkway and bradley boulevard. you can see how much water is flowing over the road. much of it going to the storm

regulators are requiring fiat-chrysler to actually buy back some 200,000 vehicles if those vehicles have not been properly fixed. fiat-chrysler came out with a statement that in part reads "we have renewed resolve to improve our handling of recalls and reestablish the trust that our customers cherish." jay korff, abc 7 news. leon: seven is on your side to combat insects at the all spec -- the office. chris papst explains how our call prompted action. chris: bedbugs are tiny insects often missed by the human eye. that was not the case for employees inside this novant health building. recently they have seen several of them. seven on your side received a call from someone who works in

the building. they said the building has been infested with bill works -- with bedbugs. they say management know about the problem but was not doing anything about it. these pictures are from an employee who says she was bitten by the bedbugs which were crawling around her cubicle. shortly after we got this picture seven on your side reached out to health care giant. that was around noon. one hour later the building was evacuated, employees were sent home, and exterminators were called. we also received is st atement from inova. the affected areas will be treated on tuesday. employees are expected to be back to work on wednesday at inova said throughout the process, no patients had been affected. chris papst, abc 7 news.

this is our futurecast. waking up tomorrow morning partly to mostly cloudy skies. you will want to grab some sunglasses because we will have breaks in the clouds. we will see a few scattered showers. maybe you will hear a rumble of thunder, but not looking for anything to become severe. heavy downpours are unlikely. we will look for heat and humidity to build. come thursday we will see daytime highs in the middle to upper 90's with he index i use of 100-105 degrees and i am sure we will see a few heat advisories across the metro area. isolated storms in the afternoon hours. winds will be out of the southeast at 5-10 miles per hour. take a look at the extended. 94 on thursday. keep in mind these are the air temperatures. heat index values will likely be around 100 degrees, if not hotter than that.
