kellye: what is supposed to be a relaxing place for families turns into a crime scene. a deadly shooting near a rec center. new information about a pilot seriously hurt on her small plane crashed. and some parts of the area could feel like triple digits tomorrow. abc 7 news at 11:00 starts right now.

first, bullets fly outside of a rec center as families gathered nearby and are enjoying the outdoors. one person is dead as the police try to figure out what led to the violence. the shooting happened near the bradberry rec center ensued led, which is where roz later is standing -- roz plater is standing by with the details. roz: investigators have not released information about the victim more suspect, but people in the neighborhood say they knew each other and live not far from each other. the shooting happened at the rec center 5:30 sunday evening as the neighborhood was packed with families and kids. >> it was packed, football, basketball, people cooking up. they came out of the woods arguing and one shot the other.

investigation. investigators have released the name of a prince george's county police officer who was involved in a deadly shooting in district heights. officer brian bell said that mainly attacked him when he responded to a car crash. he said thatmanley tried to grab his gun and it went off during the fight. investigators showed with underg that manley was the effects of opiates at the time of the shooting. a family member said he recently expressed suicidal thoughts. officer bell has been placed on routine administrative leave. a pilot isn't the hospital recovering after her small plane crashed behind homes in prince william county. it happened on looking glass court in bristow. jay korff has what we are learning about the investigation. jay: what is extraordinary as the airplane that crashed went

kellye: a 17-year-old boy was killed at the stephen decatur community center in middle school. he was riding in a task field with other juveniles when it crashed. the others were not hurt. the police are looking into what

caused the crash. a second woman has died from injuries and a two vehicle crash in suitland at 1 a.m. on suitland parkway and silver hill road. three people were inside the car. they were taken to the hospital where two of them died. a person in the second car was taken to the hospital in stable condition. lawmakers will return to the state capital for a special session, the republican-controlled general assembly replacing terry newly up to pick for supreme court justice. lawmakers will also draw new congressional maps. if the general assembly and the governor cannot agree on the maps, federal judges may impose their own. more controversy for donald trump. activists and human rights groups slamming his plan to reform immigration. today, he called for deporting everyone in the u.s. illegally, no matter their age or how they got here.
