and killed by a hit-and-run driver. she had just left work. she was crossing southern avenue, on her way to metro. supervisor said she worked at the hospital for 10 years as a physician assistant, often caring for the indigent. >> she was so dedicated to all the underprivileged patients. i'm so humbled to have worked with her. active inas also their ethiopian community, often helping others get settled. >> she made america beautiful. she was like a mother to the second generation. z: friday, police released this photo of a person of interest. wasvehicle that struck her a newer model black chevy tahoe. her family now wants to see justice served. >> i don't want people to die

try to help. the police have not released the name of the victim or the woman. we now know a virginia man was on the train that was nearly shot up by a terror suspect in france. abc news reporting an artist based in richmond was the first person to disarm the 25-year-old terrorist. he was shot once in the neck. that was the only time the suspect managed to fire his ak-47, and that is when others jumped into subdue him. an off-duty servicemember used his finger to stop the man from bleeding out. >> i really did not feel my injuries. i knew i was bleeding, but i did not know they were that bad. i just went over and push down. kellye: european authorities say the terrorist had been known as a potential threat. france had put him on a watchlist in 2014, but his lawyer says the 25-year-old only planned to rob people on the train. france says it will award all three americans the legion of
