this is the babel brook farm in laytonsville. when firefighters arrived, they can see the blaze for miles, destroying some expensive farm equipment, including tractors costing a quarter million dollars. the barn collapsed. it is filled with dozens of hay bales. fortunately, no livestock or humans in harm way, but fire officials feel they can let it burn out because nobody is in harms way. forceey are here in full to keep the flames at bay, to make sure it does not spread to a very nearby cornfield only steps away, and also spread to an adjoining building. here is the montgomery county fire spokesperson. >> initially we had 75 firefighters and equipment from montgomery county and some of the surrounding counties.
