moments as hundreds efmy grans are rescued from a vessel on the mediterranean sea. 30 children and 150b women should doc in southern italy later today. the group that supplied the video says more than 700 people were rescued in various operations on wednesday. but there was no rescue for dozens of people discovered in an abandoned truck on a highway outside of vienna, their bodies so badly decomposed identifying them may prove to be impossible. terry moran is there. they died in a truck on the side of the road, up to 50 human beings packed into a truck and abandoned on this highway east of vienna. this human tide of desperation is now cresting across the borders of europe. so far this year more than 340,000 men, women and children fleeing war and terror in the middle east. just here in hungary, the new crises point, almost 150,000 have crossed the borders in 2015, triple the number of all of last year.

there's an investigation into the cause. >> propane very scary stuff there. a generation ago, the saying was the whole world is watching. well, today, it's the whole world is recording everything. >> and that's proving to be good for cracking down on road rage and reckless driving. abc's clayton sandell has the story. >> reporter: a collision on an arizona highway is how this story starts. >> oh! they just hit. >> reporter: but after both cars pulled to the shoulder, each driver tells police a different story. both are free to go until the next morning when another driver comes forward with the whole story. the beginning of the video recorded on a dash camera shows one car revving and burning rubber. even opening a door. the driver allegedly threatening another. when police saw this video, they made their own, arresting kyle geisler on charges including assault, aggressive driving and making threats. he's out on bail and has not entered a plea. the arizona road rage case is just the latest example of
