a convicted rapist back in the custody of maryland state police. been missinghad nearly two days after a home visit to a state hospital. the police launch the search effort thursday, tracking him with bloodhounds. norris was found this morning in dupont circle. people across the country marking 10 years since hurricane katrina, the devastation in the loss still fresh on people's minds. that includes people in the district, still feeling the impact of those storms. you survivors gathered across the dmv tonight. sam sweeney caught up with many of them and has their story. >> i lost absolutely everything. lisa williams is one of thousands whose life was washed away 10 years ago today. >> 10 years ago, the storm was over and my mom and my father and myself, we were trying to figure out the next that.

sam: the storm was over, but few had ideas the levees would break. >> as we saw all the water rise, we said we have to get out. sam: she was at the convention center with thousands of others, no food, no water. the convention center is where the journey to washington begins. >> i just took a greyhound bus and i came up, and life has been wonderful since then. years later, lisa tells this story at rock creek park, surrounded by more than 100 people came from louisiana to washington. many of whom also lost everything and came here with nothing. a sense of listen is. because i could not be there. i saw people losing their lives. orleans, we show love and a great spirit. that is what i want to get home to. sam: but lisa is not ready yet.
