side of southern avenue, a small shopping center. behind me, there are still some investigators on the scene. there is still not a lot of information. so far, the police responded at 6:00 tonight after a report of shots fired. they found an adult male, who was rushed to the hospital but later pronounced dead at the hospital. his death has been ruled a homicide. we don't yet have information on a possible suspect door they are looking for or a motive in the case. to only place that appears have been open, the lucky carryout, where investigators seem to be focusing their efforts. there are also multiple evidence markers near the entrance of the café. we have seen officers with flashlights searching the parking lot, looking for potential evidence. we have had uniformed officers and homicide detectives trying to gather evidence, but so far we do not have any lookout

county police officer adam torres, who was fired from the department and a grand jury indicted him on a second degree murder charge. one car caused a huge security scare near the pentagon this morning. to gun police spotted a vehicle stop near the south entrance, the driver into passengers passed out. they also spot it would appear to be a wire hanging from the front door, prompting multiple agencies including hazmat and the bomb squad to respond. turns out the people inside the car were heavily intoxicated and the suspicious wire was a speaker cable. 9/11,ing on the heels of you see a vehicle coming to a dead stop, a wire protruding, individuals not responsive, when you have asked them repeatedly to exit the vehicle, a raises alarm bells. kellye: the police took all three men into custody. metro transit police made an arrest in assault case that a

metro station. 23-year-old joshua smith, facing a number of charges, including fourth degree sex offense. a woman said that smith inappropriately touched her friday night. he escaped by disappearing into a train tunnel. d.c. police have identified the man shot to death by a security guard at union station last friday. 57-year-old william wilson junior stabbed a woman at the mcdonald's in the side. a security guard chased him and shot him when wilson lunged at him with a knife. the woman is expected to recover. pg county firefighters returned to the scene of a fire that displaced nearly 90 people, checking smoke alarms and passing out safety information. saturday's fire damage three buildings on brinkley road integral hills. a firefighter injured at the scene was treated and released. the cause of the fire is under investigation.
