charles county officials and a grand jury has indicted rocheia simms. this story is chilling at heartbreaking. the boy was found dead in a park, his mother pushing him on a sling for two days until he died. the 24-year-old has been charged with first-degree child neglectanslaughter, and breed and medical officers -- neglect. he died of hypothermia and dehydration. the little boy was dead when police found his mother pushing him at the memorial park the morning of may 22 after someone called to report the unusual situation. previously experienced a mental breakdown and stayed in the park for nearly 44 hours with the boy in the swing. my colleague will be in the courthouse at 2:00 this

transition into society. plan includes helping those who are charged with misdemeanor crime get back into society quicker. to have more them good credit for their time served and get back with their families and kids. the second rollout to continue working and return to jail a -- jill at night. the mayor to someone people to lose their jobs what they are gainfully employed. they will pair female inmates with a mental and secure them a full-time job so they can integrate them into society. we spoke with one woman who has argued been through a similar program in d.c.. she told us her story about being incarcerated after being sold into sex slavery.

threats, targeting a grocery store. that store is located -- five bomb threats were made, prompting evacuations each time. both men were arrested on friday. a 17-year-old is recovering after being shot twice in southeast overnight. police say the teenager was shot policeleg and forearm are looking into what led into the -- are looking into what led to the shooting. a kentucky clerk who refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses is back to work. she wants her name and title removed from them. marci gonzalez has the story. i: county clerk akeem davis singh despite a court order she refused to give marriage licenses to same-sex couples, citing religious objections.

crews are installing a traffic management system from the sea to route 29. this new system will improve safety conditions that will also , shoulderw entries and lane control signs, among other changes. you might know these the most during traffic accidents. to direct be able traffic, moving things along better than they do now. it iss sounds familiar because it has been ongoing since august of 2013. project were tested recently and they should be up and running. hopefully this will make your commute just a little smoother in the morning and the afternoon. abc 7 news. >> now donald trump continues to lead a crowded field of gop contenders.
