should not be admissible in the trial that is scheduled to start next month. something very similar last month saying that they did not have enough details, and now they said they did have enough details, so that evidence will now be used in the trial. many people in the court do not think that jim dunning had anything to do with the murder of his wife. that could put reasonable doubt into the minds of the jurors. important hearing today because again the trial now is coming up very fast. it is scheduled, again, for next month. concerned about getting an impartial jury in elliott -- jury in alexandria and that is why they are holding the trial over here in fairfax. reporting live here in fairfax county, abc 7 news. >> tom, thank you. a crime alert in northeast washington.

there was a deadly late-night shooting that has been ruled a homicide. it was in a parking lot just a few blocks from the nearby metro station. police are focusing on one vehicle where they believe a man had been shot and killed. a massive earthquake in chile is now prompting tsunami warnings in hawaii and california. at least eight people were killed in the eight magnitude quake. elizabeth hur takes a look across the world. elizabeth announcer: officials -- elizabeth: officials and chill a sound of a warning after an earthquake that killed at least eight and leaving him more than one million people to scramble for cover. the tremor was so powerful that ands flew off store shelves
