need your help finding a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian in the district this morning on sargent road in northeast. details on the vehicle police are looking for. reporter: police are here at the scene of this hit and run at ferriday and sargent road northeast. it happened about seven coat -- 6:30 this morning. a black pickup apparently heading down or up sargent road struck this man. the man was lying in the road. a second vehicle struck him. the second driver stopped, alerted police they had been on

the scene throughout the day. at this hour they are looking for that black pickup truck with an open bed, possibly a foreign model with tinted windows. it was seen heading down gallatin. no word on the victim. it still awaiting notification of next of kin. investigation continues. larry: a couple in fairfax is in critical condition after fire tore through their townhouse this morning. firefighters were called to the home on purple sage court. several pets inside the home did not make it out. john gonzalez has the latest from the scene and a warning that some of this video maybe graphic. reporter: the fire started before 7:00 this morning, spreading from the living room downstairs to an upstairs bedroom where young couple was sleeping. austin lives right next door. >> there were flames coming out of the windows and firemen were already here. reporter: the husband and wife were trapped.

jim moran captured it on video. >> pulled him down off of the second story window. then they got the female out. reporter: the mother of the woman who lives here arrived shortly after fire investigators visibly distraught. was eventually flown to washington's burn unit. the man went into cardiac arrest and had to be revived. they both remain in serious but stable condition. >> i hate to hear something like this. reporter: among the debris, you can see a big cage with a dog bowl. we understand the couple had a number of pets, two dogs, two cats that did not make it out of the home alive. birds were rescued and are alive this afternoon. some of the more than 40 firefighters who rescued the birds. they used respirators for the dogs and cats but could not

revive them. the cause of this fire is under investigation. >> it does not seem like all their pets made it. attorneys for six officers charged in freddie gray possible death -- freddie gray's death are back in the courtroom. statements those officers made to investigators following gray's death. same sweetie -- same sweeney has new developments. reporter: much different than what we've seen in the past. you can see the roads are open. there is little to no police presence and there are no barricades in the streets. inside this courthouse defense attorneys are asking a judge to suppress statements given to investigators by five of the six officers following gray's death. officers say they spoke to go they feared losing their jobs at the did not cooperate.

an investigation under way after a fire in kansas city, missouri, claimed the lives of two firefighters. crews were dispatched to a two alarm fire last night. firefighters were clearing an area with a partially collapsed roof when a wall gave way injuring four them. two firefighters died. they had just saved the lives of two people trapped inside. around the district, mayor stafford charged with intent to distribute cocaine. the 51-year-old served as a staff assistant in the mayor bowser's department of administrative affairs -- office of religious affairs. pay by king. it eliminates receipts on your

larry: that florida woman is behind bars after using periscope to broadcast her drunken drive home. police say when whitney beall strained her saturday night out in real time starting out at a bar and getting behind the wheel, people who did not know her saw the video and called police. >> you know her name? >> no. i don't know her. these are random people that pop up. >> you hear her saying she is drunk. larry: police officer used his personal periscope account to find her location. she was arrested after failing several field sobriety tests. police say beale is lucky to be alive and fortunate no one was injured or killed during this incident. some men say they read playboy just for the articles and now that my become more believable.

the magazine has announced it --l no longer show foo show photos of nude women. a story that is trending right now. reporter: many of us never thought we would see the day this iconic magazine doing away with nude images. it is crazy to say now they're asking their models to cover up. the reason behind this is perplexing for some. playboy says it wants to reach a younger audience. going elsewhere for racy and is like the internet. hugh hefner assuring everyone that everything else will stay the same. take a listen to how some people reacted to the news. >> i think that is a little disappointing. they have had them for a while so i don't know why they are

it is all good. let's show you a time lapse from times bill from oakdale high school. southern sections of frederick county maryland. the day it is an interesting day to see how quickly the clouds and showers rolled through the area. we start to see breaks in the overcast. i think we will see quite a bit of sunshine through the afternoon. this evening will see what happens with the cold front. some areas might get a brief sprinkle area to temperatures at midday, 73 in falls church. 72 in chevy chase. washington.n fort cloudiness during the morning. seeing a breeze with this area of showers. as we get to the afternoon we see more breaks in the overcast and that is going to point to a comfortable afternoon. temperatures should make it into the middle 70's. this afternoon, more clouds develop ahead of the cold front

in southeastern ohio. when that comes through, maybe dinner time hours, a few areas might see a passing sprinkle or shower. afternoon, a few clouds in the area but progressively be break into more clear skies. on this rendering it shows showers with the cold front coming to the mountains but as we get through the evening, most of them break up with only isolated shower or sprinkle through about 7:30 tonight. most people won't see much of anything with the cold front because the time it is coming today and will clear out tonight and have a couple of pleasant days. on the cool side. another cold front comes in friday. otherwise, enjoy this afternoon. 77 degrees. maybe a spotty showers late in the afternoon and early the evening. the comfortable breeze as we head through the day and for tomorrow, we'll start off with

larry: the u.s. coast guard rescues a man after he had been adrift abort his vessel for five days. even see the stranded boat in just released coast guard video. the masthead been destroyed and the storm and there was no satellite beacon to be found on the boat. hopefully you're not waiting for a fedex package at a florida. a fedex truck struck a car on an orlando highway causing one of the truck's trailers to fall over the -- off the overpass, spilling hundreds of packages. no one was hurt in the rack. fedex says is reaching out to those customers to say, by the way. a breezy and warm tuesday ahead. doug i
