clerk and ran off with undisclosed cash. stephen tschida spoke with the clerk today. >> he is cut, bruised and in pain. four men came in at 10:30 looking for the rooms robbed him while he worked at a new york avenue motel. stephen: he lay on the ground and he saw a gun in the hand of the robber. >> he heard it go down. >> they shot at me but they missed. >> the man stood over him with the gun. he is lucky that the bullet missed. >> police are pulling over the surveillance video to track down the robbers.

he is nervous about returning to work. this is the fifth time in the past few years that the motel has been robbed. stephen tschida, abc7 news. maureen: first lady michelle obama wants a new campaign today to encourage teens to pursue education beyond high school. the goal of the better make room campaign is to create space for teens to achieve the dream. >> the truth is right now the space doesn't exist in the popular culture. today the national conversation is focused on celebrity. their story and hairstyles. the tweets they send. the points they score. maureen: the campaign is going to partner with television network to engage the students. president obama said by the year 2020 he hopes the u.s. will become number one in the world for college
