house comes to alexandria. one day after spending 11 hours in a congressional hot seat, hillary clinton took the short trip to alexandria for a campaign rally. our senior political reporter scott thuman was there. this is a rare campaign visit outside the state. we are hearing so much about, iowa and new hampshire. scott: it is, aldlyson. but i guess virginia now is a swing state. it has been for the last couple of cycles. it was interesting. you mentioned the testimony yesterday. hillary clinton never referenced it. at least not directly. she instead let terry mcauliffe the governor of virginia do that. he had a go at it pretty good about the benghazi testimony. instead she just continued to reference herself as a fighter. she said she is "not a quitter." while she did at times tout the democratic record, the administration's record saying it's one to run on, they shouldn't run away from it.
4:02 pm
at the same time she was careful to distance herself from any previous president. >> when i look at what we have to do, i'm filled with excitement and optimism. i'm not running for president obama's third term. i'm not running for bill clinton's third term. i'm running for my first term. [applause] scott: that got one of the biggest cheers from the day. she is trying to separate herself from any other candidate or previous administration. saying she is her own person. now we did hear from some voters today who were out here. still have very big concerns about hillary clinton and her candidacy. there are lingering investigations, just because she testifieded before the benghazi committee yesterday doesn't mean everything is completely over on that front either. so we'll hear from them. hear one of the roadblocks she may face despite certainly rejewnated hillary -- rejuvenated hillary clinton
