pros and cons. video of an 18-year-old on the sidewalk as the police handcuffed him, sparking cries of police brutality last week. but some say that body cameras recording the entire incident would have muted the outrage. >> it would have shown the incident from the officer's point of view from the beginning to the end. stephen: advocates of body cameras and those with deep concerns spoke out. much of the discussion centered on what images will be withheld under the current proposal. >> it would include assaults from police officers? >> we would always protect the identity of a witness to a crime, always. representatives of the muslim committee raised concerns. they fear that granting the public access to video will .urther victimize muslim women among the crowd today, a

suspending its sidewalk camera program. the decision follows an official advisory opinion from the commonwealth attorney general. the issue was whether citations of cars passing a school bus can be e-mailed to the violator oh must be served in person. specify in the law. especial honor for d.c. schools, d.c. mayor muriel bowser announced grant money for community schools and partnerships between the school and community resources. one of those honored schools in northeast washington will receive a grant for $175,000. d.c. has become the fastest improving school system in the country. we also awarded $1 million across six schools to integrate academic and physical health.

carolina, north carolina central university is on lockdown because of an active shooter. the shooter is on campus and students were told to seek shelter. no other details have been released, but we will bring you updates as we get them. honoring a local hero, the d.c. very own batman died in a tragic accident in august, but last week he was remembered in a special way. kevin lewis shows us at children's hospital. superheroes spent the day bringing joy to kids with cancer at children's national health system. this guardian gathering set to honor the life of the route 29 batman, remembered for visiting hundreds of ill children at hospitals across the country. >> i'm catwoman. batman well and
