something in my drink. reporter: it was halloween night. sophia santa cruz was doing her mother's makeup. across the store, her coworker was acting sinister. surveillance video allegedly shows are unscrewing her fiji water bottle, only to four in a chemical based beauty product. feltstarted drinking and i they burn in my throat. all the way down. i felt like i could have breeze. reporter: santa cruz ran to the bathroom vomiting. officers, "ild guess it did not work." >> it was attempted murder. reporter: while santa cruz does not know the motive, she is aware the potentially debbie ingredients she swallowed. >> sulfur, zinc, like colic acid, alcohol. it's basically a drying lotion. it dries a certain area of your face from acne.

imagine pouring that into your system. you are drying your throat up over your stomach. she tried to kill me, that is all i know. reporter: since our first story at 4:00 i called lemonfield's cell phone. she said "you have no right to call me." and then hung up. kevin lewis, abc 7 news. leon: thank you. getting back to breaking news we first brought you here at 4:00. seven people injured in a car crash, four of them children. alison: brad bell just arrived on the scene in the last 40 minutes. tell us what you are seeing. we have come around from where i was last time speaking with you to the south side of the accident on new hampshire avenue.

you will notice new hampshire avenue southbound is closed. we are just south. there is a black ford mustang in the middle of the road right there. that's one of the cars involved in the wreck. we understand there was one person in that car. the second car is right over here. you can take a look. a white camaro. crash scene investigators are here now and we are not allowed to cross the tape. we understand that in this vehicle there were six people. to adults and four young children ranging in ages from 4 to 1 years old -- 10 years old. three of the children in this car were critically injured. we understand that no one is considered at this point a life-threatening injury. the fourth child in serious condition.

the two adults not that badly hurt. the driver of the black car also not suffering serious injuries. the prince george's county crash investigation team is on scene. those white cars. they come out when there are serious accidents. brad bell, abc 7 news. alison: thank you brad. this was a case of road rage that ended with a minivan slamming into a motel this morning. amazingly no one was hurt in the crash. it was on route 1 in alexandria. jeff goldberg is live in a part of fairfax county. what are the drivers telling you? reporter: we are getting two different stories from two different drivers. you can hear about those in a moment. we are live at the travelers motel. you can see the cleanup is still going on. things look better than they did earlier today. a parked car during the incident went right inside that motel

room. just some of the damage of the incident. it was a clear-cut case of road rage and one that really could've been a whole a worse. one look at the aftermath and you can understand his thoughts as it was happening. >> i'm thinking i'm going to die. literally. just before 11:00 he was driving his starts to ringo south on route one in old town. their two-year-old son in a car seat in the back. --y had emerging issue of with a driver of a toyota corolla. >> he flipped me off. reporter: as they approached the light, obesity corolla driver lexus andclipped a then hit the minivan and they hit the motel at about 40 miles per hour. they hit bushes, polls, any parts honda that crashed into a room before both cars came to a rest. >> i don't know what he was

thinking. he could kill someone. reporter: the driver of the corolla is elmer king of alexandria. thanking god nobody got hurt or killed. reporter: we spoke to him before he get details. was is a run rate situation? -- road rage situation? >> knows her. -- no, sir. reporter: she had just cleaning the room next to this one. >> i saw the car coming to the parking lot. i was like, oh my god. carolyn was standing right next to this room as it happened. you can imagine how shocked and scared she was. the driver of the corolla, elmer king has been charged with a first-class misdemeanor for aggressive driving. this hotel, the travelers hotel has been here for 50 years -- more than 60 years along route one.

this was a dramatic day. we will hear from them coming up at 6:00 about what they will do about rebuilding and moving forward. jeff goldberg, abc 7 news. leon: unbelievable. covering metro tonight, we have were that orange and silver line trains are resuming stops at the armory station this monday. and those trains still without a running quite as frequently. that announcement coming just about an hour before metro told us that they have a new general manager. he has a major task ahead of them. in addition to all the major challenges he is facing, the number of riders is dropping fast. brianne carter is live to explain why. what is the story? reporter: that they think is reliability and the customer complaints of more than 50%.

customer complaints are up 52% because of a lack of reliability. the on-time performance from metro rail fell to a new low below 80% and there's not enough cars said to be on the tracks. they need 900 54 rail cars on the tracks during the week for optimal service -- 954 railcars. that everywas below day in july, august, and september. >> part of the issue is the lack of the parts being ordered aickly has contributed, factor in why some of these cars don't have enough parts to be operable and safe. a request made to the board today to change the processing of the parts ordered more quickly and get them on those cars so they can get the cars back out on the tracks. some good news for metro today. they say crime is down the rail system.

alison: new information after a man was penned under a greyhound bus in the district. we have learned a doctor just happened to be walking by 7th street and massachusetts avenue when all this happened and sprung into action to help. sam ford spoke with them today about what happened. reporter: when an elderly pedestrian ended up under a greyhound bus yesterday, another pedestrian was the first responder. >> i threw up my pack and i dove under the bus. he was not conscious at that time. he obviously had a very significant fracture of his leg. one of his feet was penned under the wheels of the bus. reporter: she was walking back to her office from chinatown which it came upon the accident. also, witnesses said the doctor who died under the bus was a man. >> he dove under the bus. >> he crawled under the bus. >> my hair was back in i just dove. i doubt anybody really saw me.

she is missing and has been since halloween night. >> you hope and pray she is found today. reporter: he says his wife was driving south on the parkway 20t saturday at about 7:00 -- when she had car trouble. she said she just needed gas so she started walking to a new i guess station. she apparently never made it has not been seen since. >> we are trying to find our sister. it's really important because she has medical conditions. reporter: she receives dialysis three times a week. for last session was last friday. >> she missed monday and wednesday. this is a crucial time right now. reporter: u.s. park police mounted officers searched open fields and woods bordering the area of the parkway where she was last seen. so far they have searched with helicopters and volunteers have

the nasa says his mars orbiter has determined that the sun stripped away the planet's atmosphere and water. nasa says the process begins billions of years ago and continues today. researchers found that solar its wet andormed warm atmosphere into one that is dry and cold. the solar winds government oxygen and carbon dioxide from mars and without those elements scientists say it's nearly impossible for anything to live there. the findings come from the maven spacecraft exploring mars'atmosphere. leon: this will be the place to live for the next couple of days. alison: definitely is today. doug: we are in fine shape. warm november 6. in the 60's with clear skies. closer to that they it is foggy. 68 in washington right now.
