on one occasion, inside of the white house. lee robert moore is facing charges this afternoon after being arrested in a sting. documents obtained by abc 7 reveal the 37-year-old had exclusive conversations and was trying to arrange a sexual encounter with what he thought was a 14-year-old girl. it was really an undercover agent. at one point, he said he was at work and was forward. he asked the girl to send him something exciting. other details are too graphic to share on tv. to police this is not the first child he has been inappropriate with. the married father was placed on leave last week after allegations surfaced could he surrendered to police on monday. >> terribly inappropriate. should be happy use not in the white house or anywhere. >> we have people protecting the white house doing that. disappointing. >> this is the latest

embarrassing incident for the secret service, still trying to get over a prostitution scandal and allegations. jeannette reyes, abc 7 news. jummy: we have learned lee robert moore waived his right to a preliminary hearing. his first court appearance will be in delaware on monday. a top military official is out of a job this noon. defense secretary ash carter fired lieutenant general ron lewis over allegations of improper relationship. carter says he expects the highest standards of conduct from the men and women in the defense department. seen in theomen surveillance video is in court today. a preliminary hearing is being held after this video when fiber -- viral. she is charged with sexually assaulting a man in northeast last month. the other woman in the video is still at large. in the district, security is being ramped up after online threats against howard university.

the stepped-up presence at the school and the metro station close by. sam sweeney takes a closer look at the investigation and how students are coping. >> good afternoon. we have learned from campus police there have been no other threats made overnight. right now on campus, you can see all is calm. students going about their business on a friday afternoon. but behind the scenes, it is a different story. the f.b.i. is now involved in this original online posting. they are trying to figure out who made it. campus police have stepped up their patrols on campus and at the nearby metro station. despite this vicious threat, the student body president tells me students are stronger than ever. last night, they held a rally. students say they want to show they are not afraid and won't live in fear. >> we are stronger than ever. it says a lot about who we are as a school, as a community, we are a resilient community. >> it probably fuels the fire to continue to advocate and fight

for the ending of this oppressive mentality plaguing students now on our campus but more so abroad and across the country. >> at about 10:30 this one, several students and staff members gathered at the flagpole on campus to show their support for students across the country facing racial and equality in their universities. as far as major rallies go, we have been told by school officials and the student government nothing is planned. but they would not be surprised if something was organized last-minute through social media. reporting on the campus of howard university, sam sweeney, abc 7 news. jummy: two maryland where a school bus driver in howard county is facing charges after a crash this morning. this is video from news chopper seven. officials say the bus crossed the centerline and struck an s.u.v. the refined middle school students on board, but none of them were hurt. the 17-year-old driver of the s.u.v. was taken to hospital in

jummy: a movement to get virginia to tighten animal protection laws is gaining momentum after the recent seizure of nearly 100 dying and emaciated horses from a rescue farm in orange county, virginia. chris papst has been following the story from the beginning and has an update you will see only on 7. >> this is a story will see only on 7. virginia and maryland may be next to each other, but their laws concerning horse rescue farms are very far apart. that is what people want to see changed. in late october, orange county sheriff's deputies seized 81 horses. seven others were found dead, nine more euthanized including kerrread's beloved horse. she temporarily gave the horse to the rescue washington is recovering from surgery. after learning how she was

weather balloon they sent out this morning. the balloon got up to 250 malabar -- 34,000 feet. it registered wind of 186 miles per hour, the highest recorded in the month of november. that is a tailwind if you're flying east. that is awful headwind if you are flying into it. that is why sometimes it takes a long in wintertime to fly to the west coast because of the high level wind. the winds that strong will not get to the surface. we make it 35 mile per hour's locally. maybe 4550 north and west of the city this afternoon. there is the wind advisory area. these will be the areas with the highest gust between 40 and 50 miles per hour. we have had a gust at 55 earlier this morning. we are in the 60's. : north and west in the 50's. with bright sunshine, very

comfortable member afternoon. here are the wind gusts reported so far. 25 in baltimore. 28 miles per hour in annapolis. 30 miles per hour in winchester. all of this is due to the combination of low pressure over the great lakes, high pressure from the west and southwest. that is driving the winds at high speeds. the higher you go, the stronger the winds get. at the surface, it will be a windy but right and sunny day. temperatures will get colder tonight. by 7:00 tomorrow morning, temperatures north and west of the city in the upper 30's. low 40's elsewhere. there will be a wind chill to factor into it. tomorrow, it will stay chilly. most areas north and west of town will stay in the 40's. we will get around 50 inside the metro area. a definite chill the times of sunshine tomorrow. getting cold again tomorrow night. by sunday morning, low 30's in many spots.

jummy: new developments regarding jerry sandusky, the former penn state assistant football coach convicted for child sex abuse. a pennsylvania court ruling restores his pension. the judge said the state employees retirement board wrongly concluded sandusky was a penn state employee when he committed the crimes. the pension is worth about $4900 a month. sandusky is serving a 30-50 year sentence behind bars. now to an emotional reunion more than 40 years in the making. "20/20" shares the story of an army captain who use social media to search for his long-lost twin. elizabeth vargas joins us with more on the heartwarming story. you really understand what he wanted to look for his children. >> this was an incredible story. this was a veteran. it is very appropriate this is happening in the week we celebrate veterans. a veteran who served in south korea, married a woman there, had twins with her, a boy and a girl who were both american citizens, had american passports.

he was sent back to the united states and was waiting to try to bring the twins here when they vanished. he has no idea what happened to them. the mother, his wife, disappeared. he did not even know where to serve divorce papers. he spends the next 40 years looking for these twins, coming up against roadblock after roadblock. filing and desperation, goes on facebook and tells his story. that goes viral, millions of shares and views. the storyere we see and pick it up. with our resources at abc news and in south korea and with the help of our professional people finder, we managed in four months to solve a 40 --year-old mystery and find the twins and tell the father about that. it is pretty incredible. jummy: i have to wonder. when the father turned to social media, did he think that would lead to it? in hear stories these days where people are able to find family members onhings like facebook. >>here are so many people looking for people. story, is scompelling

them that story. he is a soldier. he volunteered to go back to vietnam in 1969, 1 of the worst years of the war, just so he would get a chance to visit south korea and see his twins. fatheredny g.i.'s who children overseas in asia, especially in south korea, he was not one of those who abandoned children. he tried very ha to care for these children and support these children and later find these children and could not. on the other side of that, these twins spent their whole life thinking nobody wanted them. their father did not want them, their mother did not want them. and the opposite was true. this father was desperate to find them and we were able to make that happen tonight. jummy: we look forward to that at 10:00. thank you. watch out for the wind. doug hill back with one
