leon: jay korff made his way to the scene and is checking in with the latest. just walked uply to the scene. there is a tremendous amount of police presence. we know they are investigating a double shooting at this apartment complex subdivision near alexandria, mount vernon area. males were shot. we do not know their conditions, just they were transported to the area hospitals. fairfax county police are searching for a suspect but have none at this time. jay korff, abc 7 news. leon: thank you, jay. we are on storm watch, rain moving into the area. alison: let's get a timeline on when it will get here and how long it will last with meteorologist steve rudin. not on ourtiming is

an attack on new york city. the images appear to show when explosive device strapped to a man. it also shows an image of times square. this video has not been authenticated, but the police say there is no specific threat to the city. however, new york city remains on high alert with extra patrols as we approach the very busy thanksgiving holiday. ton: the world is waiting find out if the mastermind of a paris terrorist attack is dead. dna testing is being done to determine if he was killed in an overnight raid. alison: this as isis releases a new threat and u.s. leaders grapple with how to deal with the refugee crisis. moving parts. of french investigators trying to determine if the alleged ringleader was killed in that raid. it was a seven hour gunbattle in a suburb north of paris. french officials say they likely

[gunfire] richard: it was a deafening firepower, french swat teams descending upon the neighborhood. >> there were explosions and we felt the building shake. richard: this woman took shelter in a bathroom. the apartment had reinforced doors. the police fired 5000 rounds of ammo. the entire building vibrated, the man said, the windows were shaking. it woke up everybody. forces opened fire on the suspected mastermind of the deadly terror attacks. by wiretap.ed families next-door were shocked awake. manyere were so explosions, it was as if the ceiling would collapse. richard: even in broad daylight, the gunfire did not stop.

i jumped out of bed, this man said. the police said to shut the window. after seven tenths hours, it was over, eight in custody, two dead, including a female suicide bomber who blew herself up. another was killed by a grenade. the police believe that the man was staying at a safe house in the building's third floor. smoke was seen pouring out. another chilling discovery, a cell phone outside the theater that was attacked, on it, a text message that said, "here we go, we are starting." alison: isis claims they used a bomb hidden in a soda can to bring down a russian airliner in egypt last month. they posted this photo of the bomb online. intelligence agencies and the russian government said an explosion caused the crash killing 224 people on board.

based on analysis of the photo, it is believed that bombing was a suicide mission. on a the house will vote bill tomorrow to stop syrian refugees from entering the u.s. president obama says he will veto that bill if it passes. among created rifts politicians and the public. tom roussey has the reaction. tom: the bill the house is planning to vote on would make it harder for syria refugees to get into the united states. president obama says if this gets to his desk he will veto it. 31 governors, all of one of them -- all but one of them republicans, oppose allowing syrian refugees into their states. connecticut's governor says he welcomes the families, but other governors, including maryland's, still have concerns about admitting more syrians. >> it's the right thing, the humane thing to do, and if you
