megan: 7:00 a.m. local time, attackers armed with guns and grenades reportedly/a vehicle with -- reportedly smash a vehicle with diplomatic license plates through the doors. troops helped move people to safety. many rescued, including six americans. government official says the gunman are no longer holding any hostages. are no longer holding any hostages. gan: this comes on the heels of the worst suicide attack in -- worst terrorist attack in paris and bombings in beirut. the u.s. embassy in mali is also near that hotel. u.s. citizens have been told to stay home more shelter in place. anchor: it's been one week since those deadly attacks in paris. the death toll has risen to 130. frenchthis comes as president francois hollande has ordered the intensification of airstrikes on isis and targets in both syria and iraq. the leader behind last week's attacks, abdul hamid abood -- abaooud, was killed in a raid.

here at home, the fbi says dozens of suspected radicals are under tight surveillance. officials fear they might try a copycat attack. propaganda video, threatening the u.s., this time promising to turn the white house black with fire. >> we are operating around the clock to uncover and disrupt any plot. >> we are not aware of any credible threat here of a paris type attack. federal law enforcement agencies say there are a total of 900 terror investigation in every state. secretary of state asked carter says the u.s. is prepared to change the rules of engagement in the fight against isis, saying we will defeat the terror group. another plane grounded this noon because of a bomb threat. this most recent case was in fort lauderdale. the spirit airlines flight was forced to make a landing. one passenger allegedly made a threat.
