this afternoon the f.b.i. has confirmed that it is investigating the san bernardino mass shooting as act on terrorism. maureen: the shooters made extensive plan for the attack. jonathan elias at the terrorism alert desk following the new developments. jonathan: there have been more than a few. a lot of information coming out. the f.b.i. this afternoon giving it to us. we learn that the investigators found two broken cell phones believed to show that the shooters syed farook and his wife tashfeen malik were trying to destroy the phone to cover the tracks but for the first time we get a first look at his wife here. it was posted moments ago by abc news. f.b.i. is hoping to pull information from the cell phone they took out of the trash that has been stomped on to get a clearer picture of what was planned, who they were communicating with and what might be next. law enforcement sources tell abc news as the shooting was taking place, as it was going on, malik posted pledge of

allegiance to isis on her facebook page but the f.b.i. is not clear if the huss and wife were part of a larger terror network. >> so far we have no indication that the killer are part of an organized larger group or form part of a cell. no indication they are part of a network. i add it is early. we are still working hard to understand. i want you to know so far we don't see such indications. jonathan: earlier today the landlord of the apartment where the shooters lived allowed members of the media to come inside with cameras rolling. you can see the various personal items left behind including a crib for the 6-month-old baby. video of the media inside the apartment. the f.b.i. says the property had been returned to the orn and no longer active crime scene.

in the last hour they held a news conference and then said that farook was isolated and the coworkers had been making fun of his beard. from the terrorism alert desk, jonathan elias, back to you. leon: tonight we hear from the local muslims who say they feel they are negatively perceived in the wake of the shooting in northern california. jeff goldberg, what are you hearing? jeff: the f.b.i. is investigating several incidents of anti-muslim incidents in the mosque at falls church where a man walked rather in, inside the door yelling anti-muslim sentiment as well as the situation last week. today members of congress came to the mosque to say enough. at mosques everywhere, feeling of frustration.

wednesday. sunny. but he broke in the house and didn't care. he put the tv in the parked car and drove off. grinches like him increase the criminal behavior in the holidays. so while the burglaries are down overall the surveillance video like these aren't a surprise. but each case is devastating for the victim. >> i thought it was a false alarm. >> this homeowner off emerson street is hailed by police because it led quickly to an arrest. saturday morning the stranger yelled through the mail slot to see if anyone was home. then he waves to the associate. when he get the window hope they take off. the alarm inside the house is loud. so loud neighbors heard it. >> if you come in and see it

it will stay mild. at least for the next several days. satellite and radar, the high pressure building overhead to influence the weather. not only tomorrow but sunday, even to monday and tuesday of next week. that means the mainly clear skies. a lot of sun. once that area of the high pressure moves off further east the temperatures are really going to warm up by the end of next week. the nighttime lows range from upper 20 to middle 30's in suburban areas. 35 to 38 degrees at reagan national airport. winds will ease around the northwest at 5 miles per hour. the future cast as we move through the early morning hours tomorrow. head out the door. grab a cup of coffee. take your dog out for a walk. maybe getting exercise. a lot of sunshine. sunshine continues throughout the entire day. toys for tots campaign at the national harbor looks fantastic. we will see a few added clouds. late day sunday. it will stay dry. for tomorrow, if you are going to visit us at the national harbor. the temperatures start off on the cool side. by 2:00, 52 degrees with a lot
