developing now, one person is dead and two others critically hurt and a house fire in maryland. heavy smoke was seen coming from that building on west main street when crews arrived around 10:00 this morning. one of the injured was taken by state police helicopter to the nearby national fire academy the fire is now out and investigators are trying to determine how that fire started. the woman convicted of misdemeanor sexual abuse in connection with the now infamous twerking video is getting out of jail. night pleaded guilty. she did not realize the pain she inflicted on the videotape. she served 30 days and got six months probation and is going to california to live with her mother. night was one of two women wanted in that assaulted the other suspect seen in the video has not yet been found. the department of justice announcing it will launch a civil rights investigation into the practices of the chicago police department.

the doj is already investigating the department in connection with the shooting death of laquan mcdonald i a police officer. a second probe will focus on whether any civil rights by lay-ins occurred. baltimore, then first full week of testimony is underway in the trial of a police officer charged in the death of freddie gray. ,uring friday's proceedings jurors heard take interviews from officer william porter could in the video, porter said he did not believe great was injured when he asked for medical attention in the basket that police man. porter is the first of six officers to go on trial for charges related to gray's death. right now, accused murderer jesse matthew is in and out tomorrow county courtroom for a motions hearing. matthew is charged with two counts of first-degree murder. he is accused of killing a junior tight morgan harrington in 2009 and university of virginia student hannah graham last year. earlier this year, matthew received three live sentences for the rate inattentive murder of a woman and fairfax.

thank's for coming in for abc 7 news at noon. howard: this is so much fun. we spent about a year working pat, vana, andf the craft services. we have come up with great recipes. ofall watch "wheel fortune" and have dinner. we took recipes from pat and famine and had a viewer recipe contest. we reach out to thousands of people and put the best of the best recipes in the book as well. the book is for anybody who loose to cook -- loves to cook or loves the show. you do not even have to love to cook because there's so much of the book that is behind-the-scenes photos that you would never expect. what is really cool is that every recipe is set up like the puzzle board. the recipe titles are just like the puzzle board. there are over 350 photos of behind-the-scenes and things that you have never seen before. we got to spend time with van a white and her grandmother was a great cook. she is from south carolina and her banana pudding is
