information on a campus cupidity on average -- a campus community on edge with a shelter in place order that has been lifted. there was a report of a possible armed suspect on campus. agencies responded and the authorities found what they are describing as a suspicious person, but they will not say why the person was deemed suspicious or if the person was armed. what they will confirm is this is not the same person that was spotted on campus last night who was also suspected of acting in a suspicious manner. so for the second night in a row, the police storm catholic university. we end many others are left to wonder if these were legitimate threats or overreactions. live in northeast washington, jay korff, abc 7 news. leon: now the other story we are watching tonight. >> it was chaos everywhere. arrest, insecurity, 10

says they need to aggressively take on radicalism. new information about the shooters that carried out the shooting attack in san bernardino. syed farouk may have been intting an attack southern california, but with somebody else. investigators say they may have gotten spooked and did not go through with it. that followed a statement that they were radicalized at least two years ago. alison: in northern virginia, the search for a missing 19-year-old. was supposed to be catching a flight at reagan national airport this weekend. her stepfather drove her from spotsylvania county to the springfield mall to shop on saturday. then she was supposed to take the metro from there to the airport, but she never made it. her luggage, while it, and plane ticket and were found in a ditch outside of fredericksburg monday. >> obviously, it's suspicious.

it's a suspicious thing. alison: we spoke with katelin's mother, who say she just wants her daughter found. if you have information or saw something, the police want to talk to you right away. prince george's county, the quality of your child's education is in question at a middle school. the kids were found to be proficient in math. tom roussey is live in upper marlboro. what have we learned, tom? fromleon, we have results the entire state of maryland. statewide, 39% of third grade 3/8 graders scored proficient in english, just 29% scored as efficient in math. in prince george's county, the numbers were lower, which has some concern. >> i'm very disappointed that we scored that low. parents were concerned

about new common core test results for third through eighth graders. they fared far worse than neighboring montgomery county. in prince george's county is 25% in english, just 15% proficient in math. >> it's disheartening to me when i hear many people say, well, i dealt what to live in pg county because the school system is so bad. : this was the first time the common core test were given, which are much more difficult than standardized exams of the past. >> the previous exams amassed some of the gaps in the learning. the first step is finding out where students are. prince george's county school board member curtis valentine says it's viable for showing the district what needs to improve. >> these are the things that need to be improved.

high school glee club hired a convicted felon. the lawsuit claims negligence and said the part-time coach exchange thousands of text messages with the girl and had sex with her. two days after the encounter, the teen attempted suicide. the police cannot press charges because in maryland it's not a crime for a part-time coach to have sex with an underaged athlete. it's illegal for a full-time coach to do so. a loophole.lutely if you were a full-time employee, of montgomery county public schools or private schools, he would be liable for a fourth degree sexual assault. the glee club says is a as part it ways with that coach. leon: it has been called the worst freeway in america, and tonight changes could make it better up for discussion in falls church. vdot held a public meeting to transform i-66.
