people. he is honest and right now. is testimony continues. my colleague brad bell is in the courtroom and will have a report coming up at 4:00. jummy: thank you for the update. also new this noon, the commonwealth transportation board has just approved the tolls on i-66 inside the beltway. the board meeting the united unanimous vote today. wo express lanes will be added outside the beltway. many drivers have criticized the idea, saying the toll is too expensive it would be a vote for the rich so to speak. it is expected to start in 2017. a wild police chase ending with an officer firing his gun at a suspect's car right into a bowl. all of this happened in montgomery village in gaithersburg overnight.

jeannette reyes has the latest this noon. jeanette: this was a long and wild-card chase. many homeowners waking up to property damage. at the other end of the street, some of them waking up to tire marks in their backyard. around 1:00 this morning, police pulled over a man. they believe he was under the influence. a chase ensued after the man refused to stop. at one point, the driver pulled into a neighborhood cul-de-sac. officers started walking to the vehicle and the driver pulled again.the officers shot of the men, hitting his car instead.as the suspect sped away, he hit a cruiser and drove through several residential backyards. eventually, he crashed into a fpole. he tried to run again but he was caught. >> he went through the yard here and i guess along the houses.

jummy: developing on capitol hill, the house has overwhelmingly approved a bill that would tighten controls on travel to the u.s.. the legislation passed last night 407-19. the bill takes aim at the visa waiver program, which allows citizens of 38 countries to travel to the u.s. without getting a visa first. under the bill, visas would be required for anyone of us iraq, syria, iran, with sudan in the past five years. the bill is now heading to the senate. the fbi director is on capitol hill at this hour testifying about the san bernardino shooting and the threat of isis before the senate judiciary committee. he says the two suspects were radicalized before they met online. and he said the couple was inspired by foreign terrorist groups and described them as homegrown violent extremists. >> as early as the end of 2013,

bruce is in the newsroom with the latest. bruce: the district attorney for the district of columbia announcing moments ago that no charges will be filed against former district of columbia mayor it' vincent gray. allegations have been rising for his 2010 campaign involving campaign contributions and efforts to disguise the true source of those contributions. prosecutors were able to elicit guilty pleas from a host of his campaign aides, though no charges were ever filed against the mayor. he served four years under a cloud. was not reelected in 2014. vincent gray leaving under a cloud. an investigation lasting five years, but all of that comes to an end today with the district

jummy: new developments this noon involving the washington nationals. the new manager coming under fire for comments he made about one of his former players. according to a new police report, a goal and of cincinnati pitcher chapman accused him of choking her back in october. no arrests were made because of a lack of cooperation. now, the mlb must decide if it should take action. yesterday, his former manager dusty baker spoke out about the incident. john gonzalez is that nationals park with what some are calling unusual comments. comments.ual dusty baker was the greatest big swing and tfeet. it seems he has already put one of those feet in his mouth

skies may brighten a bit with the cloud cover rising. temperatures got a slow start because of the fog. we will get to 50. there is the cloud cover and fog on the satellite. down to the richmond area, there is sunshine. even maryland has some sunshine. it will narrow a little bit. the futurecast the next couple of days picks up this cloud cover well. wants to the afternoon as it out, butt -- it lifts we keep a fair amount clouds. we will see clearing skies and sunshine and pleasant weather conditions tomorrow, friday, and into the weekend. we are still on track for temperatures to get the middle 60's. tomorrow, partly sunny and 60 degrees with a southerly wind at five miles per hour. looking ahead, 60 degrees for thursday. 64 on friday.
