speaking of the climate, nearly 70 degrees today. christmas may be two weeks away but the weather outside is delightful for those of us who liked it. many went shopping. others went running and one guy shirt at all. keep on trucking, man. >> i can't believe it's almost 70 degrees. and we went christmas shopping. >> it does not feel like christmas right now. >> but the warm weather is not here to stay. >> well, it kind of is a little bit. in the short term but eventually december is going to end out. >> how much do we have this? >> couple of days. we go from sunday to monday and then we bring the rain. but it's still not that much colder. wednesday we'll feel ok. and then thursday, friday and finally december wins out.

out to our nation's capital, the high today 68 at reagan national. you can see everybody else in the washington metro. 80 in charlottesville. five miles into the air no clouds. a little bit of a southeast breeze in the potomac just off the main runway. it the southeast breeze kept cooler. really nice for the time of the year. overnight temperatures are actually still above our average mies for this time of the year. so here's look at the cloud cover situation. sunshine. cloud cover that we have going on still a very warm weather pattern. you can see a patch of thicker cloud cover in the ohio ohio valley, midwest. that will be here tomorrow. the clouds went out and we get enough sun sthine come through. oh, yeah. and that pesky southeast wind of the potomac. we have rain coming in on monday. we have a better par of the day

with stronger south winds still holds temperatures up by pushing the winds up from the south. this is real close into where you are. lows -- these are our average highs ifer the time of the year. 48 at reagan national. here's a look at future cast that wants to put a few more clouds tomorrow. it could be thicker clouds way up high. still think 70 is doable. 72 to 67. that's right in the middle. it's just urn the record high of 71. fredricksburg might be close to 80. we go through morning, early afternoon not raining yet. couple of showers possible. thicker clouds cover through the rest of the day and we'll go 67. nbc 7 sky cast could look a lot like this. maybe a little bit of morning fog as you'll see. starting off at 52 to 55 in some ranges tomorrow. 55 on the high end. a little bit of patchy fog.
