thehope is that when verdict is reach the streets of baltimore will be peaceful. after eight days of testimony, the william porter case closes. then there will be deliberations. while we have no idea how the jury will rule, we know that it is hard to find criminal prosecutions of police officers who fail to act. in this case the prosecution has porter did not belt freddie gray into his seat and did not do enough when gray asked for help. he said he had never seen a fellow officer place a seatbelt on an officer in did not know the seriousness of his condition until the transport van arrived at the police station, but by then he was nearly lifeless from his spinal cord injury. they are warning protesters if they hit the streets of charm city to do so within the confines of the law.
