leon: a maryland man has been arrested and charged with trying to support isis. mohamed elshinawy is facing at least three charges. attempting to provide material support for isis, obstructing an investigation and making false statements. elshinawy is accused of receiving money from overseas as well. now in san bernardino, california the f.b.i. says the items they found in a lake near the shooting incident there are not related to the incident. we are also learning tonight that the female suspect in the attacks was able to get a vista to enter the country despite social media posting supporting islamic jihad. the department of homeland security says it has begun pilot programs to search social media of the anally can'ts. -- anally -- applicants but it's still not widespread policy. president obama met with security council for briefing on the fight against isis at the pentagon. no strategy was announced today but the president did detail progress he says is being made. president obama: isil has lost
