identified the employee. he is not a government employee. he works for a contractor that services the neighborhood. he is accused of walking up drive way where there are boxes here. then he stole boxes. inside the boxes was a girl scout cookie oven. >> when i saw it on camera i was flabbergasted. >> that is a sanitation worker clearly picking up something that doesn't belong to him. two packages out of joe carpenter's driveway. >> why would you do that? it doesn't make sense. this time of the year? >> tuesday morning at 7:30, carpenter and his wife walked outside. >> did you put the packages in garage? she said i haven't seen packages. >> what was inside the boxes mattered most to this little one, 9-year-old isabelle. carpenter's grand daughter. >> she said, "papa i want the

alison: a solemn tribute to navy seal tim holden who died over the summer riding his bicycle and was hit by a car. today, bikes rode alongside the motorcade from lincoln memorial to the arlington national cemetery. holden was buried with full military honors. his family says in his memory they are looking to raise

awareness about bicycle safety. leon: schools in shenandoah valley closed because of a lesson involving the islamic faith. they were alarmed by the controversial wording of the writing assignment. a teacher had the students studn her class complete assignment practicing calligraphy, the statement was in air ra back and translated to, "there is no god and -- but allah and muhammad is the messenger of allah." alison: a montgomery county student accused of bringing brownies laced with marijuana to school. the 18-year-old student brought them to the high school in silver spring. two students ate the brineies and got sick. he is accused of distributing a drug on property.

alison: "7 on your side" with concerns over using crumb rubber on school athletic field. some are upset about using it on a field at west gate elementary school. this comes after "7 on your side" reported on the possible long-term health risks associated with the exposure to crumb rubber. >> the story is that 550 children in west gate elementary school will be exposed to the toxic carcinogens that might kill them in 20 years. >> the west gate p.t.a. voted unanimously to ask that construction of the field be
