a third day of wild and dangerous weather in the southwest. today, our first glimpse of a surveillance video of a massive tornado that were through mississippi wednesday. that went from the central part of the state all the way to theh northern part come into tennessee. ago, anotherours tornado, this time in alabama. this is been a dangerous storm system. evening, into this because right now search and rescue efforts are underway in birmingham, where another tornado touchdown, unleashing damage and risking lives. birmingham residents are trying to cope with the distraction caused by confirmed tornado that's what through parts of the alabama city earlier tonight. >> it was confined to approximately one square mile. we had three structures that collapsed. jay: flooding damaged hundreds of homes in stranded scores across the south after several

community center organize service projects across the and morea called d-25, than 1000 volunteers prepared food for the homeless and help post-christmas parties at area shelters. this is the 29th year of that effort. in burke, virginia, distributing more meals and gifts to more than 400 homeless people in the area with a team of volunteers that helps the homeless on the 25th day of every month, not just december. once the holidays are done, what to do with the tree? norway spruce at the center of the rockefeller center in new york will be milled into lumber for habitat for humanity. they build homes all across the country. this is the ninth year that habitat will be getting the rockefeller center tree. last year' helped build five homes in philadelphia from just that one tree.
