today as crews prepare for more flooding. the national weather service has had flood warnings in place for southern alabama in till monday. meteorologist eileen whelan is in the weather center tracking the system that is causing all those problems. eileen: it's a very dynamic weather system. first, some good news coming from dallas. over,rnado threat is now so that's good news, but look at all the heavy rain stretching from oklahoma, missouri, and on the backside of that system heavy snow. weatherhad so many alerts, this looks like a crayola crown exploded. gives an idea of the flash flood threats, the blizzard warnings in effect. that same dynamic system is impacting us. we had some showers earlier, now just a little drizzle and mist, and fog. the visibility ranging from between two and five miles.

woman was accidentally shot by the police early this morning. that is according to chicago police, which we just heard in the last few minutes. this happened when the officer was responding to a domestic disturbance call this morning. within moments of being on singing, the 19-year-old engineering student and 55-year-old mother of five were dead. he was a promising child, going somewhere, but now we will never know. son,janet remembers her home visiting from college. he was a sophomore at northern illinois university. his mother says he suffered from metal illness. his father called 911 saying that his son was threatening him, holding a metal bat and acting erratic. a they were confronted by combative individual, resulting in the officer firing shots and fatally wounding two individuals. he was holding a baseball

on for a person who opened fire on a man and woman sitting in a parked car. it happened on parkview lane in clinton. to flee.r was able as richard reeve reports, the woman in the car is fighting for her life. we heard a pop, pop, pop. justrd: gunshots rang out before 2 a.m. saturday, leaving a woman critically wounded in the head. a i saw the car pull up in gold truck pulled up alongside the white truck and firing two shots. theard: witnesses say that woman in a male companion were parked in the driveway when a poco pulled up and somebody inside opened fire. >> some type of drive-by. critical condition. the bullet is in her head. richard: the man behind the
