they killed 12 people inside the magazine office. today the man was carrying a knife, wearing a fake suicide vest. and allegedly yelled "allahu akbar." maureen: former police officer that turned institute of standard and technology in a meth lab waiting to learn the sentence at this hour. barkley pleaded guilty following an incident last summer. in which the meth-making process trickerred an explosion that blew up the windows at the campus in gaithersburg. faces a maximum of the three years behind bars. his lawyer argues he should get probation. leon: turning to the weather. a cold and a cloudy day outside. doug: this is looking more favorable. it's cloudy outside the

leon: one week on the district's ban on what many consider styrofoam, most vendors are complying with the law. so far they have issued just two tickets we have learned. they will face a $100 fine if they don't comply. vendors tell us that the paper or the recycled plastic containers are more expensive and are prone to leaking and they don't hold heat as well

as the foam container dos. maureen: supporters of donald trump are suing the virginia election officials over a state g.o.p. requirement that primary voters sign a statement affirming they are republican. three black pastors behind the lawsuit say it violates the civil rights and says it discriminates against the african american and hispanic voters. virginia has primary where any eligible voter can participate. trump is critical of the requirement saying it scares off new voters. leon: tonight, debating bill cosby's presential medal of freedom. a congressman is prompting the president to strip the comedian of the medal. the white house says they will take a look at the bill if it's approved by congress. he is accused of drugging number of women. coming up another "abc7 news at 6:00" --

leon: calling on tape clear as day, a man slashing tires and stealing from tires in northeast. police hope the crystal clear surveillance footage will help catch him. d.c. bureau chief sam ford reports. sam: the male suspect in this video punctured tires on one resident's vehicle and later busy stabbing the tires of another vehicle before checking car doors for locks. comical in the zeal to steal. we showed the video to residents of the area. >> wow! >> that is wrong.

this is a different pattern than what we have been through for the month. it's 40 in hagerstown and 40 in fredericksburg. by tomorrow morning the coldest areas will be the western zone. they have had clear skies and sunshine through the day to allow them to drop to 24 in hancock and cumberland and 28 in hagerstown. 24 in charlestown. and martinsberg. couple things to watch. first a huge storm in the atlantic ocean. it's not tropical but it has winds of 60 to 65 miles per hour. it's moving to the northeast. it won't affect any land mass. that is a good thing. this could have been a heck of a nor'easter that it been 150, 200 miles closer to the coastline. now the focus to the attention to the central u.s.
