upon the law and that alone. >> reporter: the judge pointed out tonya couch is accused of a non-violent crime, hindering the apprehension of a fugitive, her 18-year-old son ethan. the mother-son pair disappearing last month after this video was posted online, appearing to show ethan at a party where others were seen playing beer pong. he's been accused of violating his probation f killing four people in this 2013 drunk driving crash. his attorneys arguing the teen suffered from affluenza, that he was too spoiled to know right from wrong. the mother's arrest warrant says the duo drove to mexico after tonya took $30,000 out of her bank account. couch's older son, ethan's half brother, telling the judge authorities have frozen his mother's bank accounts and she has no access to other assets. >> your testimony under oath is that there is nothing --? there's all rigliterally nothin. >> reporter: as for ethan couch, he's still in mexico fighting extradition to the u.s. there will be a hearing in texas next week to decide if his case

will be moved from juvenile to adult court. reena and kendis? >> our thanks to lawyer nen los angeles. track and field's international government body reportedly knew about widespread russian doping but did nothing about it. documents obtained by the associated press indicate the international association was so concerned it feared some athletes might actually die. yet for six years the iaaf did nothing about the use of drugs and transfusions and only pretended to be shocked when the scandal broke last year. at least one nfl team is moving this summer. the league's owners have given the st. louis rams permission to return to l.a., which the team left in 1994. the san diego chargers can join the rams. if not the oakland raiders might get a shot at southern california. otherwise, the raiders are staying put. the rams will start playing in l.a. this summer. but the team's new stadium won't be ready for three years. >> looks pretty nice, though. college-bound students in one colorado town are getting extra scholarship money thanks to the pot industry.

yeah. back in november voters in pueblo approved a law which taxed marijuana suppliers. half of those taxes are being set aside for college scholarships. it's estimated that about 400 students will each get $1,000. >> never heard of that. >> it's an interesting concept. i don't know how they'll celebrate that extra scholarship money. a village in central new york state is sticking with their controversial village seal. and take a look at this seal. it dates back to 1883, and it shows a white settler with his hands apparently choking a native american man. town members have voted to keep it there 157-55. >> the whitesboro folks don't see it as racist. the settler is hugh white, who was actually adopted by the anaya tribe, and it apparently shows a friendly wrestling match, not an attack, but that isn't stopping the controversy over what it appears. >> so this was a friendly match. >> that was apparently a

florida when the shelves -- look at this. they came crashing down. firefighters rummaged through the mess looking for victims. the collapse spanned seven aisles, or about a third of the store. an employee of the store next door said that it sounded like thunder but just went on for far too long. >> hopefully nobody was seriously hurt in all of that. and no one was also seriously hurt, we should point out, when this boulder fell on a highway in san jacinto mountains. this is west of l.a. but they were inconvenienced for sure because a major highway through the area closed until this bouer was removed. the only detour is through steep and winding roads that are icy. turning a ten-minute commute into 2 1/2-hour ordeal. >> incredible. >> yeah. well, a crisis over drinking water has prompted the governor of michigan to activate the national guard and even request support from fema. >> that move happening overnight. the city of flint water supply contaminated with lead. abc's alex perez is there with the latest. >> reporter: emergency deliveries in parts of flint, michigan.

>> we need one up here. >> reporter: teams going door to door dropping off bottled water and water filters. a temporary remedy to the ongoing crisis here that has exposed this city of about 100,000 to water contaminated by lead. a health hazard. mom sonia austin worried for her son and furious. >> this is not right. it's not right. i wish they never would have even switched our water from the get-go. >> reporter: this all starting in 2014 when the cash-strapped city of flint stopped paying for water from lake huron and began to process water from the nearby flint river to save some $19 million. immediately, residents began to complain of bad-tasting, foul-smelling water. tests later revealing toxic levels of lead in the system. but it wasn't until more than a year later that authorities declared the drinking water unsafe. the city has switched back to lake huron water, but the river water damaged the pipe system and lead levels are still not safe.

leo dicaprio in "the revenant." but check out this bear. an alaskan grizzly named jimbo who's playing with jim kovacik, who found jimbo as an injured cub. now jimbo's 22 years old, 1,500 pounds, ten feet tall, and loves a back rub. aw. and cuddling. jim is a retired corrections officer who runs an orphaned wildlife center in otisville, new york. they have 11 bears there on the property. raising them from an early age, which is why they are so friendly. >> this video makes me very uncomfortable. partly because of the manicure. but also because of the size. >> the size of that bear? >> yeah. the lack of a manicure and the size. >> yeah. >> well, how about some more bears? this one's a little more rough. but a lot smaller. here are a couple of pandas lounging on a lazy day in china. when one of the pandas can't just chill out. biting and trying to eat the other, you see. but pandas are not herbivores apparently. they're designed to eat meat.
