i-95. that is where jay korff is live with the investigation happening now. jay? jay: the seemingly skilled thieves are coming in and actually taking the lug nuts off. taking the tire and the rim. so essentially the whole wheel with it. all they are leaving behind are the lug nuts. >> a lot of people come down here and we rely on having our vehicles safe in the parking lot. jay: more than 2,000 cars park in the lot off i-95 and prince william county. some vehicle owners are wondering if they should continue parking here. >> the cars should be safe here. jay: thursday evening to find all four of the wheels stolen. she wasn't alone. they shared the pictures with us. two s.u.v.'s. friday morning we found a fourth victim, the black toyota without tires and rims. only the lug nuts left behind. >> it was everything.

it was anger. it was shock. it was surprise. then kind of embarrassment. jay: this is not the first time it happened in. he october we reported a similar rash of crimes. they installed temporary cameras and placed the undercover detectives at the time. no arrests were made. >> i wish that prince william county or the state or somebody, whoever can, can do something. it's unacceptable to the commuter. >> that is how it's set up. jay: they carefully selected the vehicle friday afternoon hoping it would be their last wheelless victim from the lot. >> i get up at 4:30 in the morning. every day i go to work and i come home and i think everything will be interact. jay: so we did speak with prince william county authorities and they say after the latest rash of crimes they will increase patrol in the commuter lot.

live in woodbridge, jay korff, abc7 news. leon: wall street ended the week on a down note with the stocks plunging to the worst start of the year ever. the plunge caused by another drop in the price of oil that is under $30 a barrel. first time we have seen that in a long time. the dow fell 390 points to close under 16,000. the nasdaq dropped 126 points to close at 4488. since the start of the year the dow is down 8%. nasdaq is down 10%. maureen: we are on storm watch tonight with the widespread rain moving in the area. how long will it last? get the latest forecast from chief meteorologist doug hill. doug: it is around tonight and most of the night and the overnight hours as well. light rain outside the belfort furniture center after a cloudy day. check the numbers. chilly. raw out there with the rain. too warm for any snow or ice worries at all. 50 in chevy chase. 44 in dale city. 49 in college park. 48 in anacostia.

43 in ashburn. the day lar is a solid sea of green. that is the rain. the orange and the yellow is the heaviest rain. we think it will stay south and east of the city. where it is now, over portion of charles county and st. mary's county. that area extends well southeast to the lower bay, lower eastern shore, maryland and vass across the outer -- maryland and across the outer banks. this is intensifying off the coast and it will help pull the rain out. so as we look for rain through the night. if you are out tonight you still deal with the rain. temperatures will fall between 36 and 42. we'll talk about the weekend weather in a few minute. leon: you got it. a dozen marines are missing after helicopter crash. it's off the island of oahu.

maureen: montgomery county police released surveillance video. they are investigating burglaries and believe they're connected to all three cases. montgomery county beer and wine targeted twice with the a-1 mailbox store. in each case they smashed a glass door to get in. if you have any information about this, call police right away. leon: a suspect featured on abc7's wall of justice days ago is now in police custody. facing say all the and robbery charges. they arrested melvin latney last night saying he was responsible for five sexual assault robberies. they found him thanks to tips from the surveillance video.
