this morning. jeanette reyes brought you this news on good morning washington. >> a mother's without her children and their grandparents are also dead after an early morning fire consumes this home. it was 2:00 in the morning. rose aeams of a mother neighbor out of his bed. >> the screams of a mother for her children, she was saying my children are inside. consuming this home. firefighters arrived within three minutes and try to save the two-year-old twins, trapped inside, along with their grandparents. the mother ofay the twins jumped from the second floor and two others were able

to get out without injury. firefighters fought the saveratures and heat to the occupants. it was too late. the twins died at the hospital minutes away from each other. counselors were made available to firefighters. neighbors, friends, and family are heartbroken. >> i can only imagine. >> one of the most tragic parts of the story is investigators have yet to find any sign of smoke detectors in this home. the fire chief saying what differences could have made, we will never know. they are heading out to check neighbors' homes, to make sure they have working smoke detectors. reporting in chillum, jeannette
