investigation happening now. richard: that little boy is recovering at the hospital tonight. it appears that his wound is not life-threatening, but the police have a lot of questions. how did a two-year-old get a hold of the gun, and what was a doing unsecured? unsecured? it doing [no audio] richard: we had an issue with the story, but apparently the young boy's father told the heice he was taking a nap, heard a noise, he came out and found the child bleeding. cryinged 911, there was in the background when the call came in. the police arrived and found the boy wounded in the leg. he was transported. his wounds are not life-threatening.

again, the police have questions why the weapon was out. in maryland, you were supposed to have a weapon inside of a gun cabinet or have a gun lock on it. a lot of questions asked the police investigate. richard reeve, abc 7 news. alison: thank you. d.c. police have identified the suspect who they believe shot two school administrators monday. they are searching for a 23-year-old. a man and woman were shot in the in00 block of eaton road southeast. one administrator works for roosevelt high school, the other for ballou. the victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. store clerk was robbed, shot, and left for dead. days later, a search for the shooter. jay korff reports. mario's printing shop in

suitland was opened last friday just as the blizzard began. >> it was coming down hard. jay: then he heard a commotion outside coming from the nearby spanish market. >> people were running down the sidewalk for stop somebody yelled inside the store and said, hey, they need help. jay: despite the snow, two armed men robbed the market and shot the employee. >> it is senseless. it's a cowardly act and we hope to find these individuals. jay: wednesday night, detectives returned to suitland road to hand out flyers. leads and arrests. >> it's devastating to hear the news, especially in our community. jay: antonia owns a perfumes shop. >> i don't know why summit he would do that, especially in the snow. jay: this is not the first time

violent crime has impacted the area. they hope this case will be closed and criminals will think twice about returning. >> hopefully you did this will be caught. alison: there are big new developments about the police shooting of michael brown in ferguson, missouri. the city and justice department have reached a deal. jonathan elias has the terms of the deal. the 2014 shooting of unarmed teenager michael brown sent shockwaves across the country and put the ferguson police department in the spotlight. the department of justice reached a tentative agreement on the fergusonges in police department, a 131-page deal. among other things, all officers have to wear body cameras within 180 days, more thorough training on use of force, and also forces the city to revise rules and appeal sections that allow jail time for people who do not pay fines for violations.
